Sarah
FOUND by Art in Sydney, Australia
I found this on the street near where I live. I admire Sarah's initiative and I hope she is doing well.

Great idea but the ad's too long. I know from experience. Try "Student in need of funds will do gardening, housework, childcare, and/or basic sewing, hourly. Minimum wage or best offer."

I did that in college and it worked for me.

All women know that the best way to get what your after in life is to put it out there.

Aw, don't get mad. I'm just playing.

"I live locally in your area" reminds me of the guy conducting job interviews whose favorite question seemed to be, "are you currently working now?" Gaah!

B-Basil's right. Ad's way too long. No one's going to stick it out long enough to read a two-page classified ad. Once you connect with people who need your services, Sarah, THEN you can go into your epic saga.

I worry that Sarah was lured to Southeast Asia under false promises, and is now enslaved in the sex trade. Or maybe a model for American Apparel.

What she's after in her life...is someone else's money so she doesn't have to get a job. Yeah, that's the best way to start a life of service "spontaneous decision"

@Bored, I believe Sarah is the one selling scrunchies, such a nice girl!

B-Basil and Bored are both right. This add is way to long. Short and punchy is the way to go, or thats the way I went when I did something like this at school.

Hope she has a great time =D

Sarah was regretful for not going to college and not knowing basic grammar, so she decided to go to Southeast Asia to help the people there. She heard they were in a lot of need. There was just one problem... she had no money.

Just me wondering
Why people are so mean really?

"look like someone found a way to get her trip paid for her"

THE GIRL IS SAYING SHE IS LOOKING FOR WORK.

I don't get it ... or maybe people don't click "magnify"... who know....

I hope Sarah got tons of nice people to help her so she can go and change life in south asia.

What did YOU did this year to help the world?

@ just you, wondering.
You can't change the world
but you can change the facts.
and when you change the facts,
you change points of view.
when you change points of view,
you may change a vote.
and when you change a vote,
you could change the world.

Well I was quoting song lyrics, so I don't think I forgot anything. There was nothing in that song about boogers that I recall. But thanks for your insight.
(oh, but you forgot one: from George Carlin.. you can prick your finger, but DON'T finger your prick.. no, no!)

Oh what a small sweet world we live in. By chance a friend told me of this site and low and be hold I saw this letter. It's from my BFF's girlfriend; who indeed go to Thailand to volunteer and built a school in an under priviledged neighborhood. She is home, well and safe now. I'm so proud of her!!! And how crazy she is in Australia and I'm in Oregon USA and found this!!!!!
Love you girls!

Wow...
where do i start.
firstly i find it hard to believe this letter has made it all the way from the streets of sydney and landed on this page.
whats more amazing is that the way i found out about it, was through my partners best friend all the way in Oregon USA
:)
This only proves to me the power we actually hold.
i inteneded to share this message with my local community, and now i share with the world.
is it too long?
is it selfish?
you are all very welcome to your opinions.
to me though.. it was the most amazing experince/challenge i had done in my entire adult life.
i got the work i wanted
i made it to cambodia
i built a classroom with 11 amazing other women in a beautiful village out of Siem Riep
and i opened the eyes of those who had maybe forgot about the possibilty to look beyond.
to help those in need
to challenge our fear
and most importantly , not to be affraid to ask for help along the way.
so while i have this small public stage ;)
i will take the opportunity to aknowledge all those beautiful people who did share with me, the work, the support and the kind words here also.
we are all alot more powerful and amazing than we give justice.
xx much love
sarah
