We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Best part: "I hope you miss me" in the heart. I love that.
So level-headed for a little kid!
this made me break out into the biggest smile.
i hope my daughter writes me a note like that.
Reminds me of the time I tried to run away from home. Family legend has it I packed up my "I'm Going to Grandma's" suitcase and got as far as the fence before I turned around and came back.
It took me quite a long time to realize that in fact it said, "Dear mom you and..." instead of "Dear mom you're anel (anal).."
hmm
Hmm.. wonder what they did to her to upset her so much. Only let her have one cookie? Told her she couldnt have a pony?
Aw. Don't you wish you could do this to your mom and dad?
Dammit..I'm too old to leave notes like that to my parents, but oh how I wish I could!
wow, i seriously think that this is my note. i would always write runaway notes to my mom and try to do it but only got to the end of the block before i turned around. i was mad at my parents bc i was the middle child and most of the attention was on my other siblings, i would get kinda jealous, hence, the hope you miss me. it's so wierd that it ended up in canada!
I also thought this was my note. My signature looked EXACTLY like that when i was little. I ran away at least twice a week, never for longer than an hour though.
Weird.I was just gonna write in syaing how my signature did and still does look exactly like that. Apparently that's how all Elizabeth's sign their name. I too, was constantly mad at mom and dad.
While not an Elizabeth, this did remind me of the time I ran away from home, but washed the dishes before I did so. I was an odd kid.
My sister is an elizabeth and her signature looked like this too. However, if it WAS your note - how could you not know for sure?
I'm pretty sure this was written by a Canadian girl, hence the "u" in the word neighbourhood. Just a guess though, since she didn't do such a great job spelling that word. :)
Teresa, i just want to say 'Thank you' for making me laugh so hard. :) that was priceless.
It would be hilarious if this the same Elizabeth who would, for a mere dollar a day, provide loving care for your dolls and cuddly stuffed animals while you're away!
I tried to run away from home once....went around the block 10 times....my friend and I weren't allowed to cross the street. LOL!!!
I "ran away" once. I actually hid in this giant toy box for like 3 hours. Guess I was just too lazy to actually run away!!
takes me back to when I ran away at the age of four. I went to my friend's house right across the street and her mom phoned my mom to come and get me. :(
Parents are mean. I hope that they did miss her and learned their lesson.
I know I don't live anywhere near Canada, but I swear I wrote this as a little girl! That was my exact signature, name, and that is definitely something I feel like I remember.... but it makes no sense! maybe I have a twin somewhere.
