My five-year-old daughter brought this to me and asked me to read it to her. The neighbors' girl had given it to her on their bus ride home from school. We're the only agnostics in our county, it would seem.

to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...

It's amazing to me how little kids think. Sad that some of them never change. Horrible that people teach their kids to act like this, and influence otherwise intelligent children.

I am AMAZED that this little girl didn't spell believe, you or devil correctly and yet remembered to add the apostrophe in 'you'll'. Someone is doing something right.
These are the true beliefs of all Western religions, it's just when a kid strips away all the window dressing, the horror of it stands un-obscured: Believe exactly as I do or you will burn in hell forever, no forgiveness, no rehabilitation, no mercy, just endless torture. It is no wonder those three religions just can't seem to kill each other fast enough. (and get into martyr heaven, yaay!) Sadly, this girl has it exactly right, she is a good Christian doing her God's will, exactly as she was taught.
