But Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
In proving foresight may be vain:
The best laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley,
An' lea'e us nought but grief an' pain,
For promis'd joy!

(Robert Burns.)

At first I had questions: is the snake eating a rat? Is the snake trying to speak, but with a rat in its gullet, the words all sound like "gang aft agley"? WTF?

Then I realized hey, no one's gonna come after me and enlighten me on this one. Google is my friend.

Thank you, captain in tenille...

I, too, find myself regularly trying to plug the holes in my spotty (formal) education.

Too much college/test/career prep, too little pursuit of meaning.

Yes, the OCD in me just wants to CLOSE that DRAWER and remove the baggy granny panties.

Is that snake habitat suitable? Shouldn't the snake have some sort of.. nature or something in there with him? A plant? A tree branch? It looks like he's stranded on a bed of charcoal or something.
