We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Did she play the record or just lust over it?
I, too, have lusted over records, but I always played them.
So sweet. I was going through some old records not too long ago and found a note written to me on a sleeve to a Joni Mitchell record. I thought it was funny that I had never noticed it before.
Glad she didn't try for a symbolic representation of lust...still, it's the record she lusts after, she only loves Jeff
Before I read the explanation, I was hoping the album was Frampton Live. I loved his hair on that album cover.
I lusted all over a friend's album once, but I cleaned it up before I returned it.
Farmer, you'd probably get better aim with a 45.
Oh jeez - now I to go through my 800 vinyl albums to see if any old girlfriends left me and lusty notes....
...or Farmer.
Well I'm not quite sure of the mechanics of how Emily got lusty with the record, but I guess I shouldn't think too hard about it, the intimate details are just between her and "Joshua Tree".... and Jeff I guess. It's nice that he's so supportive of her vinyl fetish though.
It seems Emily has lost her purple marker.
The word "thanx" seriously grates on my nerves.
@the man behind the curtain: It is Frampton Comes Alive!...a really great title for a record, any way you lust over it.
Jeff is a pimp daddy..giving girls your copy of "Joshua Tree" will get the girls panties flying every time..Good move good sir
I have this album on vinyl.. no notes inside, alas!
I would love to see Highplainsdrifter's 800 vinyl record collection.
When I go to second hand shops, I can never resist flipping through the records. It's worse than the book section, as far as temptation goes.
I wasn't aware you could use the word "lust" as a verb. Must be some damn good record.
Cute note, but hate that she didn't separate the "tt" in "letting."
So if this came out in 1987, why is it vinyl? I thought I was only buying cassette tapes in the late 80's.
....I use thanx all the time.....
...but I was in an antique store once where the entire basement (the entire width and breadth of a huge old department store) was filled, wall to wall, with old records. They have so many the weight is too great to put on them on the upper floor!
@ Never got into vinyl..
Where's that store? I'd love to check it out!
It's on Nolensville road near downtown Nashville. It's called Phonoluxe.
Cheers.

They should sort, file, organize & categorize, then put their catalog online!
