We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
A lunch-eating napkin would be impressive regardless on what was written on it. Nice find.
I can so have cake! You're not the boss of me!
but that cake? Yeah, it's a . . .
lie.
...cake don't lie.
21 candles I think. Big birthday.
my birthday is Tuesday and this will be my mantra all weekend leading up to Tuesday and probably a few days after!
Aww, I kinda wish this had been a couple days ago for Miss Moo's bday. but we had cupcakes.
I love that cake.
Very sad note. I imagine it's written to someone controlling in the birthday-celebrator's life, and then not delivered. But good affirmations.
Today is my Birthday, so this find was a good one to see...
I will have a good birthday!!!
YOU CAN NOT STOP ME!!!
This is what Marie Antoinette actually said...before a misquote went so horribly wrong.
I can haz cake! And I don't care who knows about it!
Happy Birthday Bobby!! -- I wouldn't dream of stopping you.
(be sure to at least have a bite of cake, in honour of your friends at found (or is that 'fiends at found'?)
Sure. You can have your cake, but can you eat it too?
Is this intended to be a subliminal message? The entire “You can not stop me.” is creepy, the flames on the candles resemble scalpels. Hannibal Lecter comes out of the closet.
I am laughing at myself this morning.....I orginally read it "You cannot slap me". Like birthday spankings....hmmmm....
I was a bit concerned at first, since the cake and plate look like they are sliding off the napkin.
Today's my Birthday too! And I may just have to go get cake!
LOL @ Mario and the Lunch-Eating Napkin! You made my day! Even without cake.
Phoebe Muse!!! OMG My birfday is tuesday as well.. I never meet anyone w/ a birfday on Sept 01. Cool!!!
You can't stop me from eating this cake! that's a funny thing to say..You can't stop me from sleeping with your wife! hmm wonder what other things can't be stopped!
Today is my husband's birthday! Found magic strikes again!
Two days ago was my daughter's 21st birthday! Like Miss Moo!
What's amazing? the Bday? the day itself? the fact that s/he actually survived until the birthday? the fact that s/he can have cake?
Stick some balloons and circus animals on the side panels of that cake (between the vertical lines of frosting) and it looks like the bday cake I saw in a book when I was 6 and really, really wanted for my 7th bday.
...come to think of it, it seems that I'm always meeting people whose birthdays are on August 24th, 25th and 26th.. i think maybe Thanksgiving weekend is secretly the most romantic weekend of the year.
(Not that Miss Moo is 21. Yet.)
It looks more like a pimp-daddy's hat than a cake, although it would be difficult to put candles/scalpels in a hat...
You can stop a man's cake, but you can't stop the man.
I think this is a birthday "note to self"
not exactly what they were looking for at the self help seminar, but a good step in the right direction.
Too spooky!! We have triplets… Bobby in UK, Barbara in OK… and Clover’s hubby in the Lawn!
And - *2* sets of twins!! Moonshine and Phoebe Muse!! – and Clover’s daughter & Miss Moo!!
HB 2U all!! And – definitely – CAKE!!
(the rest of us can have cake, too – to show solidarity, yanno)
Please help!! I thought I could find 'Miss Moo' but alas, I don't understand. Can someone pls point me in the right direction?
This reminds me of the beginning of the movie "Nurse Betty".
@camelia - bout seven comments down...think she's a personal friend. don't know if google can help ya now.
by the by, you CAN have cake and eat it too. but you CAN'T EAT cake and have it too....
geeezzzz i've become one of the many bitches on here...
Camelia brings it all together, I like that! HB to everyone who was conceived on Thanksgiving weekend! And HB are my daughter's initials. Any more coincidences, anyone? Today is Jeanie Weinberger's birthday too.
i was born on thanksgiving... is that a coincidence? hospital cake anyone? guess that accounts for scalpels....
HB Lovecraft everyone!
Sybil fighting with her other personalities.
(Miss Moo was actually conceived the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, rather than on the Thanksgiving weekend. Not that you needed to know. And in reply to Camelia's question as to who the heck is Miss Moo.. well, she's my lovely daughter, and I'm just another rabid Found Hound. I'm laughing now because I googled the name-- I'd never done that before-- and apparently there are kabillions of Miss Moos out there.)
It would have been really cool if this had been posted 7 days earlier...not for any particular reason.
Happy Birthdays!! and Be-lated Birthdays!! and Be-earlied Birthdays!!
Thanks Found Pals!
And thanks Terrie-Is-So, for the "Be-earlied Birthdays!!"
And @ Mario -- a lunch-eating napkin would seem surprising. (stay away from my breakfast, tho')
Camelia!! Thanks for the birthday 'notice'? lol.. er, I mean, thanks for noticing I was born.. Yes, It is very early here, and I'm at work for 2 1/2 more hours.. *looks for pillow*
My first thought when I read this was, this is exactly how I felt when I celebrated my first birthday. I was raised as a Jehovahs Witness, and didn't celebrate my birthday until I left as an adult. My first birthday was 4 years ago and I had exactly this kind of defiant attitude!
