B A E B
FOUND by Philip in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England
A friend of mine found this chord progression in a practice space; not very uncommon, but I like the way it tells you to repeat it forever. We tried playing the main one (B A E B) and it sounds a little bit like Blitzen Trapper. We assume one is meant to be for bass or second guitar, but we can't be sure which, because the two played together don't sound so good, either way.

Having no musical abilities, my only comment is:
"Let's start at the very beginning
A very good place to start
When you read you begin with...."

Muse on the Loose
Ned, Terry, and Nina had a band called "Willie Wonka's Worrywarts," and they were writing a new song. They decided to call it "Back to Start Again" because of the way the music kept repeating. When they played the song at a concert, though, nobody liked it. The audience was just waiting for them to finish opening for the actual show.

I'm guessing the little letters are a bass line and all the big B's were meant to be B minors. That would sound MUUUUUCH better than what's written!

The first time I read this, I thought the final
instruction was "Bach to the beginning".
I almost cried.

The big Bs are definitely minor, I just played this on the piano. It's actually quite lovely, rather haunting and beautiful. I especially love the last chord...it is a pretty surprise! Wish so much I knew the melody and words (if there ARE words...)
Curious about the heart at the end. Most love songs are not written in a minor key.

Actually Simplar, surprisingly, the little letters sound better when played as a chord in the right hand on piano, and the large upper letters are the bass. Don't know why, but it sounds nice that way. The other way around sounds horrible.

I have no music ability, but it would be lovely if someone able to play this posted a link to an audio clip or something.

with the Bs as minors it does sound suspiciously but not perfectly like Black River Killer by Blitzentrapper...

LOL. with a name like Blitzentrapper, for some reason I expected German Heavy Metal or something. What a pleasant surprise.
Thanks for the reference, for those of us without the musical ability necessary to strum or plunk this out on our own.

(youtube vid for Black River Killer.)

I had a dream about this Find in the wee early hours of the morning today, and when the frizzy-haired music lady pounded it out on the piano, it sounded almost exactly like Alanis Morissette's You Oughtta Know. There were some dischordant spots in there, but they fit in perfectly with the lyrics and tone of the song.

"Bach to start again." Delightful pun, that.
