The Rainbo Head Family
FOUND by Michael Poczatek in Chicago, IL
I was walking along Lake Shore Drive with my daughter when I found this wonderful work of art by a young girl for her grandmother. It must have gotten away from them in the windy city; I wish I could get this back to them.

What do you think it said before the water damage to "ret...yes flag"?

This would have gone great with yesterday's first Find.

But I DO feel better! Thank you.
And thanks, Found Folk, for making the Finds' B-sides visible now! You guys rock.

Take that, Hallmark!

I love it when kids make you a card. It's got colour, it's got in-jokes, it's got heart. And it took a while to make. I still have a little "photo album" drawn by my niece for my wedding...she did it during the reception, bless her. And it looks a lot better than the dozens of photos her grandma took.

i like how it says "i really like you" instead of "i love you" or other such nonsense.

Grab Bag in Chi Town
This is such a touching piece--I hope Grandma got to see it before it was lost and FOUND

Me in the warm, cloudy weather
My favorite is the little dog, Piper. Super cute. I agree, Basil, homemade cards are WAY more special than store bought. I have kept every single thing my daughters took the time to make for me, but have tossed every store bought card.

Librarian in the woodwork

I kinda like the other side better. At least it helps me sort out who is whom.

And that rainbow flag? ... yeah, I always wondered about Grandma and her "really close friend Sylvia".

Muse on the Loose
When Julie's mom bought her some rainbow head stickers, she went crazy with them. She made everything using rainbow heads, from cards for Grandma to ads for her successful art business.

Thanks. Librarian-I was thinking that about Grandma... Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Hiplainsdrifter in South Portland, Maine
Grandma's gay-dar went off when she saw this note as she realized her grandchild was going to be a card carrying member of the rainbow flag coalition...

the note fell out of her rigored hand as they wheeled her body away. Apparently, she would have recovered if she hadn't been left alone while the Rainblo family went off to march in the gay parade...
