Full of Happiness
FOUND by Erika in San Francisco, CA
I live a few doors down from Dolores Park, and the amount of trash that gets blown into my building's driveway & garage is pretty impressive. Usually it's just paletas wrappers, empty beer cases, and pollen. A couple of weeks ago I was in a crappy mood as I went to get my car: someone had vandalized it to the tune of $2200, and I was taking the car to its repair appointment. This piece of paper had blown up against the car's tire, and as a big fan of FOUND I always take a peek at the flotsam & jetsam, just in case. After reading this sweet little English assignment, my eyes were shining a little bit and I too was full of happiness. Nothing like a reminder to enjoy life while you're alive!

If he was really from another country wouldn't he call it football instead of soccer?

Not in the US, Trask. English teachers of ESL in the States are quick to "correct" that..."Oh that's not football, that's SOCCER." Never mind that Europe had it first. And that American football is actually an offshoot of rugby.

To those who have spent some time in hell, heaven is peace and quiet. Living in the moment can be very peaceful, if you're living a peaceful moment.

Cotton in Dixieland
Wow, how I would LOVE to go to Delores Park today. I go to Tartines and grab a few delicious goodies, and the pooch and I would head off for a few hours of people watching for me, and butt sniffing for him.

Yep, I left at least a piece of my <3 on SF!

Here in Dixieland, I guess I'll just stop by Hardee's for a biscuit, and go watch the rednecks launch their bass boats at the Marina...but I'll still be full of happiness, and the dog could care less as long as he's with me.

This was no English assignment. Jose was writing a poem about how happy he was to come to America from Guatemala. He was sitting in the park and he felt inspired.
