We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
This is hilarious. I love it.
I wonder if those characters on the Salmon River are ready for a face-kicking horse?
So the drunk student was named Clay. After the match for the cigarette incident, his name was Mud. Looks like his life turned out to be fun after all. Certainly more colorful than the uptight poorly educated teacher.
Amanda met Clay out at Salmon River Ranch, which he owned. He had a hundred horses. He offered Amanda a horse, too. Amanda quite admired this, even though the horses were known to kick people in the eye and make them lose teeth. She wanted a couple acres on Salmon River so she could be with Clay. She sent her friend Sandy a post card with a picture of him.
I'm simply dying to know what's on the other side of the postcard! Is it a like one of those "Leanin' Tree" (or whatever old west company that is) postcards with some gnarly old snaggle toothed cowboy?
Or is this one of those sticky postcards that enable you to make your own postcard out of any 4X6 photo, so it's an actual photo of Clay, black and battered eye, missing tooth and all?
I love how they blanked out the first name, but left Dikeman. Heh heh heh.. Dikeman!
@Bored: I read that as an address on Dikeman Street. (I wonder if we'll see the picture of Clay on another day?)
Yeah, he wants to sell you a horse. That is a good one!
so is that a pair of googly eyes at the bottom, looking at a little stick cowboy with a very long lasso? (and tiny head?)
How the fuck do you lose a tooth if you get kicked in the eye? I don't even want to think about where it was found.
Never look a gift horse in the mouth - they will kick your eye and knock out your front tooth Alfred E. Newman style...
(bad scan btw)
