Ticket issued not for illegal parking, but for abandoning vehicle....
idway through the third act. Still, there was something about the leading man's tonal quality and vocal projection that this reviewer found totally riveting, especially as it resonat
The creative thieves may have come back with the tires and took the whole car. That would explain why no tireless car was found. Got to admire creativity.
Car owner upon getting back to car: Drat it all!! Now my little sticky note got stolen, too!!! What is this neighborhood coming to??
Spouse: I don't know. All we can do now is walk to work in the rain and pray the car's here when we get back home later.
Car owner: I guess. Let me write myself a note about that.
I bet they got the ticket anyway
Huh. Sounds like a lot of work to me, taking the tires off of a car, then taking the car.
There must be easier things to steal.
"Mon Dieu ! My automobile has been eaten by rats !", exclaimed Ted with equal fluency in both languages.
Obviously stolen by the note-typer who objected to the use of TWO parking spots. Serves you right, selfish!
The car was more than likely towed.

I never heard of stealing tires, but I suppose when you get your rims stolen, they take the tires too.
I would have left a ticket for the "obviously" statement, it almost implies that the cop would not be smart enough to notice.
how considerate!
since the poor note writer couldn't move their car that nice tow truck did it for them.
Obviously can not move car, but somebody did. Who did?
I don't know.
He's on third base, we're not talking about him.
Would hope the police would spot this note, but since my local police department ticketed a car SEVEN times - while the owner decomposed in the back seat - I wouldn't hold my breath.
Nice story Gator..similar one happened here..plain white van left out in the street for years..opened up found 8 bodies..old funeral directors vehicle..took money and left them there..would hate to have found that!
It happened here, too. Police ticketed a car with the homicide-victim driver inside. Funny, the tow truck driver noticed him right away when he came to impound the car. I guess we know who was paying more attention to his job.
(I'd hate to have been that cop. Even if he didn't get reprimanded, I'm sure he got harassed like crazy by his co-workers.)
Dave/Wash State--- Re: deceased in car...
Probably the tow truck driver noticed 'cause the owner pays the tow & storage bill!!
(Cop doesn't care who pays the ticket; he wrote one & that's enuff.)
re: Found...
I think the sticky note came undone while the cop put the ticket on the vehicle!
If some dumbass fucking pig wrote me a parking ticket when it was plainly obvious I couldn't move my car, I'd have his or her entire family killed if I had the money for it. This is ridiculous and it says everything about cops today. The writer of this note clearly has no hope that the police will even try to get his/her tires back or catch the thieves who took them. But the writer is also worried that some zealous traffic enforcer will write a ticket just to be a dick and make money for The State.
@ Hiplainsdrifter: B Kliban! My favourite cartoonist in the whole world!! And yes, I did recognize the quote.
I had the same problem as the note writer -- flat tyre (that's English spelling, you guys) and seized wheel nuts so couldn't change the wheel and 'obviously' couldn't move the car until the AA man arrived. But got the ticket anwyay.
