Go Team! February 22, 2008 |
We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
"...I said hey Joe, take a walk on the mild side and the colored girls go do dodoo dodoo dodoo do do...."
"...In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the she-lion smiles tonight..."
"What's new pussycat? Wo oh Wo oh Wo oh...."
"...We got lions, only in Kenya. Got lions and tigers, only in Kenya...Kenya, Kenya, Kenya...."
hipster art, say what?!
I'm gonna be a might king so enemies beware
Well I've never seen a king or beast with quite so little hair
I'm gonna be the main event, like no king was before
Is this an artist's conception of the Sphinx? ... Or is the Sphinx an artist's conception of this?
"My mummy could beat up your mummy"
"No she couldn't"
"Yes she could, because MY mummy's a lion"
"Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!"
homework: if you were a character from the lion king, who would you be? answer: nala.
Uh...er...um...
Would you honor your mother or aunt this way? I can see the next wave of mother's day cards. A whole series of maternal faces pasted on fierce predators...
i don't think a kid did this. those braids are definately cut out with an xacto knife.
Hey lost,
I agree, nor was that...cat...body drawn by a child. However, the swervevy outline around the whole thing looks like a young cutter's job.
Good find. I agree with lost that an adult did this. I like the face and angle it's glued on.
Actually, the big cat body looks like it could have been cut out of a "learn to draw! big cats" book.
CutterBee scissors.
um, I don't think that was made by a child at all. I think it was part of a crown, made for her birthday. just sayin'. and my spam protection math problem was unusually hard today. 28 times 15? who knows that off the top of their head? really,
"I am woman, hear me roar."
This makes me want to go cut out random heads and bodies and mix and match them.
this looks like something a rastafari kid would do as an art project..
the face on the lion kinda make me think haile selassie.. i dunno..but a girl version. .
"If I were King of the Forest, Not queen, not duke, not prince..."
KC: You are probably on a computer that won't allow cookies.
KC. I wish i had cookies to give you, the same thing happens to me when i'm at work.
I think its a liger. It kinda has stripes.
um, since when do we have 2 finds per day?
this picture is retarded
@Lars: a picture game?
Homework: if you could be a character from The Wiz, who would you be?
Answer: Dorothy....no, The Tin Man...no wait..., The Lion! Yeah, definitely The Lion!
Danielle, um, we've always had 2 Finds a day. Did you not notice that before? You've got a lot of catching up to do.
Night: the monkeys can fly. That would be cool. Think of the time you'd save.
Oh my Gosh! Someone call Siegfried & Roy! Their lion is eating Whoopi Goldberg, and she looks pretty pissed!!
For some reason it reminds me of the movie " Coming To America"
I will find my queen in *hovers over map*
QUEENS, NY!!
:P
I "Sherlock Puckhog" am under the impression that the artist is a child who is very proud of his or her Mom.
She be the Queen of the Jungle!
Assuming that the lion part of the art is original, it appears that the artist is fairly talented. Therefore the meticulousness of how the braids are cut out is not surprising.
More importantly it's not that "heart" and "cater" crap that took up a whole day two days ago.
I like it.
ghost... lol... yer funny.
My first thought: "Queen Latifah...the ultimate reincarnation!"
Or maybe somebody out of Sweet Honey in the Rock?
Sorry, gang...not a terribly inspiring Find...
I wonder where she's going?!?!
...wow.
