Beautiful Day for Fish
FOUND by Jordan in Houston, Texas
He looks very content with where he is in life right now; it's wonderful to see that. I also love that every thing seems to be one shade of blue or another... his shirt, pants, the water, his hat, the sky.

Ahhh, fishing...the perfect excuse to sit and relax in a beautiful nature spot and do nothing all day. Or night. Half the time the hooks had no bait...we didn't care. Catching fish wasn't really the point.

I miss it.

Ahhh, fishing...one of the last socially acceptable ways to torture animals for fun.

This photo was taken the day after the hurricane. See how high up the water is? He's actually got the boat parked over what was once his driveway, and is fishing for some of his clothing that (he hopes) might be floating around his old bedroom.

Oh silly Basil, you don't need to hold a fishing pole to do nothing out in a natural setting. Just go do nothing. I've never fished, but I've spent many an hour soaking in the surroundings (it's been a while since I have though).

Librarian, I think he may be sitting on top of his old bedroom. I am having trouble imagining a boat in here.

There is a thin line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

@ Fooch ... You might just be right. Probably took the swivel chair from the kitchen counter up to the roof with him as the water rose. Good eye!

It looks like he's kind of shifted onto one hip. Given that it's Texas, I'll bet $100 that he's got a gun strapped to the other hip.

This was found in Houston so I was naturally thinking it was taken near the gulf but this water is way to blue..Gulf water is that dingy brown and everytime I go to coast there is about 2 feet of that nasty seaweed along the beaches. It is still my favorite place to vacation.

from the mountains to the prairies to the Gulf of Mexico
I've been to Florida's Gulf Coast and the water was (warm!)gorgeous and blue, not dingy brown. What's Texas doing to its part of the Gulf?

Might as well face it, I'm addicted to Found
Why am I obsessed with knowing what time his watch says?

SDJJ, if you were to shop this photo, what would you do with it? What would you add or remove?

Might as well face it, I'm addicted to Found: A very large green dinosaur rising out of the water with a great white in its mouth. :) Right behind the fishing dude.

and oh yeah, his skin isn't blue either. Thank god. Otherwise he'd be dead, or oxygen-deprived, at least.

@Feeling, at the time that I pretended to fish in order to get some down-time in Nature, those around me did require that I be "doing something" 24/7 unless I was actually asleep (and then only after 9 PM). So faking fishing (no bait Phyre, put yourself out, OK?) was the only way to recharge the old batteries, some days.
