Baby Step
FOUND by Jordan Eldredge in San Francisco, California
I found this near California State University Northridge. I am tempted to start a search for the kid based on his or her toe prints.
Chrome Toaster in taco town, but I used to be in Berkeley.
Well, Sadly, Jordan, you wouldn't be able to do that, because whoever took this print used FAR too much paint... so you can't see the whorls of the toe prints, just the hills and valleys of the paint.

when I first saw this.. I was amazed. It could easily be one of my kid's foot prints, as we do this every year around my kids' birthdays.. And a footprint coulda made it from Berkeley to San Francisco... I love the color.

This strikes me as sad. Like it should be a mother's birthday present or something. Not found near a college campus.

I do this with my step-sons. "Mom" distroyed everything from birth to 6-7 yrs...when my husband got them both. I do it once a year...and measure height four times a year. We've got almost four years, from 4'6 to 6'2'....and crazy fridge art! Yea!

Would tracing someone else's unknown to you minor child by his/her footprints constitute stalking behaviour? Check local legislation before embarking on this project--you don't want to end up having to sign the dangerous predator registry.

Looks like kindergarten art, that should be hung on the fridge. Mom or Dad would've loved to have seen this piece of ARTWORK! They could of put in their kid's BABY BOOK.
I adore pieces of paper with paint on them. Reminds me of when I was in kinder and my son as well!

There is one very sad mom out there somewhere. She may not even know that this footprint exists, but she would miss it if she knew. We love this stuff!

In preparation for the renovation of our kitchen, my husband tore out the door jamb, upon which i had recorded my children's height, from about age 2, to age 10. I never told him how much that hurt, because i knew he'd say i was over reacting. Am I, because there are times when i lose sight of what's normal.

(not that i expect some of you know what's normal... lol)

And no, you would not be overreacting. I'm still sad about my firstborn’s ultra sound video tape that was stolen in a house burglary.

ShellinOz, did I read that right? Your step-son is around 11 yrs old and is 6'2"? Wow! Ya'll grow 'um big in Kansas. I bet that's one monster footprint on the 'fridge; must cover half the freezer door.

Clover in the lawn, dashing off to work
Motherhood is all about loss. Every time the child passes from one stage to another, it's a loss. When they grow out of their first little booties, it's a loss. You can save the booties but it doesn't bring the baby back. When we painted over the height marks in our daughter's room, I took a photo of them first. Mona, I hope you love your new kitchen. I want a new kitchen.

awwww i was given a t-shirt & paint to make a handprint shirt for my kids....i really need to do it before they get any bigger *sniff* they need to stop growing up =o(
this reminds me of a shirt/shorts outfit my gram made for my mom when we were younger. me & my brothers put handprints on a shirt (i think she ended up with a boy print on each boob...lol) & she she had us do our feet on the shorts. considering that my brothers are all younger than me (by 7 years min.) it looked funny with their little feet and then my (comparatively huge) foot...lol

Oh my, it’s a rare sighting of a “pedal locomativa” phasmid. Often thought mythical, the PL phasmid is well protected from detection by its resemblance to the commonplace imprint of another species foot. They are lonely creatures, destined to wander the land searching for their one true mate. I do hope this one will be returned to the wild.

Awwww! This reminds me of a Mothers Day present my girls gave me with a little poem. :) So sad this is being deprived of a loving parent to treasure it :(

My Handprints

Sometimes I might upset you
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
on furniture and walls.

But everyday I grow a bit
And soon I'll be so tall
That all those little fingerprints
Will be so hard to recall.

So here's a special handprint
Just so that you can say
This is how my fingers looked
When I placed them here today

My brother snuck into the bathroom while I was taking a shower, made little baby footprints going up the foggy mirror, moved the ceiling panel over a bit then told me I might want to watch out for a Satanic baby he just saw go in. At 8 years old, this is something that is quite plausible.

I guess every mom has a story about footprints. When my first was born, his feet were inked for footprints in the hospital. We had them printed on baby announcements in the same color as the foot above.

When my second was newly walking, he toddled right through the wet cement of a newly poured driveway. His little footprints are still there. (He's 12 now and wears a mens size 11 1/2 shoe!)

Turbo, in defense of my (look in the dictionary and you'll see his dictionary under the word asshole) brother he became a better person after he went behind the desk, and even better when he retired. However, I’ll never forget his abuse or the abuse of my other (and favorite) brother’s. I think enforcement = asshole, it goes hand in hand (control). I know my Dad was a different person with bro than he was with me. I'm the youngest and a girl, as well. Go figure.
