We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...

do you think shes been watchin def poetry on HBO?
The pain i feel stems from having read this...
Ah the highschool drama...
Isn't it hilarious how "deep" we thought we were at that age...
I agree with Christa, we all thought we were incredibly "deep", but this really is just corny as hell to me.
Sounds like teenage girl poetry. She is proud of her rhyme scheme, you can tell.
awwe. I felt the same way about a sourdough round that I brought all the way home from the store. I love bagels too but I've been trying to watch my carbs.
I wonder what this person is doing now 11 years later. Did he reply? did they get back together? did she find someone new?
Clearly this was written to JTT in a fit of Tiger Beat passion..I suppose the writer discovered it ten years later and was so embarassed that she threw it out of a moving car.
I love that she started to spell 'fantasize' correctly and then crossed it out and spelled it wrong.
Lauren in Chapel Hill! That is hilarious. I have this giant crush on JTT....er...I mean...I used to have this giant crush on JTT, but then I realized it wasn't meant to be, because now I like Orlando Bloom, and in my heart there is only room, for one Tiger Beat heartthrob hunk, but I still wouldn't mind seeing his junk.
(omg i like totally love orlando!!)
Oh, to be young, angsty, and full of bad poetry.
I guess peopel are calling this bad poetry.. but it's strange that I came across this found today. It's exactly how I feel. I hope this person found peace.
Ahh anghst poetry. I remember it well.
I thought it was lyrical, but it was cheesy as hell.
There are hundreds of successful songwriters and published poets whose work makes this girl's writing seem sophisticated and sublime in comparision. It's the handwriting that makes me want to stick pencils in my eyes.
Hey, Dave Kaplan! My parents lived in Rogers Park when I was born 48 years ago. We lived in a basement apartment at Rogers Park and Clark St. We moved to Lincolnwood in 1961.
Great find, btw.
Having been a teenage girl at one point in my life, I know exactly how she feels. That first break up is always the hardest to bear. Poor thing.
I really hope this girl was 13 or younger when writing this. I'm a teenager, 17, and I think if my poetry sounded like this, I would shoot myself and end the A B rhyme scheme pain then and there.
this is definitely meant to be rapped.
The title makes me laugh. Especially the exclamation mark. Poor girl.
"Bad" and "good" -- so hard to pin down.
Either way, if she wrote this and it made her feel better, that's what matters most.
Hey, At least she is trying to make complete sentences. She also shows some skill at writing...a rare skill in Chicago Public schools.
You can't become a good writer without being a bad writer first. This takes me back to eighth grade. :)
I love the title.
PAIN!
I wanna live foreeeverrrr
I wanna learn how to FLY!
Wow - you all are so judgmental! I think the writer did a good job capturing her feelings and voicing them. I am NOT a teenager but I have had my hear broken and know exactly the 'pain' she is describing! Just because she is in high school (presumably) doesn’t mean her heart can’t be aching when she realized that someone she really cared about doesn’t feel the same way.
Ten to one she's writing about her dog, who ran away.
that's my fourth birthday...
