We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
too right! I live quite close to ashford, it's nice to see something on here found a little closer to home.
Ha! Maybe your Connex people should attend the same training Melbourne's Connex people do. Hell hath no fury like a Connex plainclothed ticket inspector!!!
Looks like someone wanted to get caught using a child's ticket.
Too right! Connex and all the others are constantly screwing me over :(
haha "TWATS"
All train companies in Britain are run by Twats. In Spain the train service is state run and is miles better.
All train companies in Britain are owned by foreign conglomerates, apprently. Connex is the French national water utility company (Compagnie generale des Eaux), I believe (but Connex South Eatern lost their franchise for being total TWATS! Hooray!).
Actually nothing has changed except that the prices went up and some of the trains got a new coat of paint (some of them didn't need to, as no one had got around to painting them in Connex colours anyway).
sorry about typos.
apparently...

I can relate to the author here. I lived in Switzerland (and England for that matter), and there, you buy your bus ticket outside from a vending machine, and then you get on and nobody even looks at it (not the driver), and in a year I never ONCE had anybody check my ticket and never ONCE saw a ticket inspector... I could've saved so much money if I wasn't so scared of getting inspected on the ONE day I didn't buy one... TWATS!
Same on the metro in L.A. Nobody EVER checks tickets. Coulda saved a ton of bread. Danggit!!
Oh those Brits and their cuss words...
"Twats."
Why can't American English be this cute?
My partner lost his return ticket for the train from London once and I had to buy him a new one out of my USD funded bank account. I was so annoyed when no one checked the ticket either!
