We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Freaking out her enthusiasm. Gotta love when that happens. Makes me wish I knew a few Paulistas.
i think this is just beautiful. it looks like it should be an advertisement in vogue, when really it's just a pretty lady really enjoying herself in brazil
she looks like a kangaroo
She's channelling Gwen Verdon.
Tucker, you're so goofy. 8-)
But honestly, I don't have anything better to say at the moment.
i hope that everyone enjoys themselves as much as this lady seems to be enjoy herself. makes life more bearable. :-)
Life is easy to enjoy when you are on the right side of a gated community in a country where the very rich dance and laugh at the very poor who need to sniff glue to kill their pangs of hunger and where the only reason the very poor exist is because the very rich are so greedy they want to dance and laugh all the time while others starve.
oo ee oo ah ah, ting tang, walla walla bing bang.
oo ee oo ah ah, ting tang walla walla bing bang.
This woman looks EXACTLY like the girl whose grandmother owned the school where I used to take dance classes. Same face, same body, same hair. It's bizarre and TOTALLY freaking me out, but that could be the sleep deprivation talking... (oh, and I am never freaked out about the finds, but I know it is a popular feeling on here and I guess when I am tired I want to be like everyone else. Who knew?)
she just looks happy.. yay for being happy
Please don't mock my sister. She can't help it.
She looks like she was caught mid-laugh.
This looks like a photoshoot for Vogue or Marie Claire.
It's nice to see someone displaying true joy at something. The tendancy these days is to be mediocre in everything
The girl is super freaky, superfreak!
Blind, how do you even get out of bed every morning?
She's doing the bunny hop!
She's either mid-laugh or special. I guess it could be the bunny hop too!
I think that the camera man said something funny, and it was just too cute for her not to laugh like she's having the time of her life. The best photo's are unexpected ones.
I thought she was having a seizure.
I have a very strong desire to go to Brazil now and see if I can find spontaneous joy like this lady. And see that giant Jesus, too.
She's doing the "Praying Mantis"
She's not happy at all. That little box with the conduit going to it on the wall is a HAIR MAGNET. She is being pulled to certain doom.
I'm seeing I can has cheeseburger captions: "I'm in Brazil, playing invisible keyboards"
The tiles are wet, so I think it's raining and she's running and jumping around in it because it's Brazil and the rain is warm. Also she just quit smoking and dropped her last cigarette butt on the ground and she's shaking her hands in expression of joy and freedom from addiction as she prepares to stomp the butts into metaphorical oblivion under her slippers. Then she will sweep them all up and deposit them in the appropriate receptacle. She is feeling cleansed and ready for a fresh start. Then she will join a human services organization that helps the glue-sniffing street kids on the other side of the wall.
Oh, right, Clover. Joy is definitely the feeling you get when you first quit smoking. Hahaha! What are you sniffing, Girlfriend?
Heavy doses of imagination...wanna hit?
Hahaha sure! I could use it today! Thanks, Clover.
Um, I'm pretty sure that lady has cerebral palsy.
She probably threw this photo into the street because she thought it was ugly.
And she never laughed again.
Oh Deanna that is so sad. So why does it make me laugh?
That's snow, right? Love the hair-magnet comment.
I thought this lady was doing a Ray Charles impression.
Mona, your comment made me burst out laughing and now I can't stop!
I love how your comment countering the notion that this woman was caught in a moment of spontaneous joy has now caused me to actually have one!
a moment of spontaneous joy, that is. Not a seisure!
happy to have made your day a bit brighter, Pudding.
Duurrrrrr!
i like this picture...
i thought she was cute.
it also made me want to go laugh and take picutres and be happy.
i picture her with a husband or boyfriend, on an exotic vacation.. and they've been lost for hours, but neither of them seem to care, cause down this road is somewhere better than they ever would have found otherwise..
i love other peoples' joy.
[i didn't want to read everyone else's comments, i knew it'd ruin it for me...]
You're all wrong. She's clearly doing the Monster Mash, and must I say, she's quite brilliant at it!
I love that the picture-taker caught this woman in the middle of a guffah!
Oh, and that she has hair like Kramer.
Kim in Tacoma - How is T-Town? I miss that place something fierce! Best wishes right back atcha.
The first thing I thought of was in invisible piano, but I feel silly saying it now cuz everyone else already saw it too. So maybe it's the bend and snap from Leagally Blonde?
Love, Actually. I just finished watching it (finally!) If this picture were taken in England instead of Brasil, this scene could have been from that movie.
Love is all around me, it's everywhere I go. I can feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes.
(I hope the British elect Hugh Grant as their next Prime Minister.)
Clover -- you watched it finally! Great stuff. Did you get the DVD with all the cut scenes included?
Oh yes, Hugh Grant for PM. Much better than this creepy Scot we've got now (oops, better not get political).
Have a nice Monday morning xx
oh Clover, i'm so glad you watched it... that makes me so happy.
Hugh Grant for pm.
or Emma Thompson.
Have a great Monday, all round, everyone.
I thought she looked like Mr. Burns from The Simpsons.
I'm changing my comment, my comment is now...'Cause This Is Thriller, Thriller Night
There Ain't No Second Chance Against The Thing With
Forty Eyes (eehee)
So, yes, i agree that that is snow. And the street is wet. And, what is that at her feet...? More snow substance.
I think this was a freak snow storm in Brazil, brought on by a hurricane off the coast, and this woman and her cohorts ran into the street to play in it. She just threw a snowball, maybe the FIRST of her whole life. (remains of the packing of it at her feet) It hit her friend (off camera) right in the head, causing her to laugh joyously- throwing her head back, holding her hands in a funny position because they are cold and dripping from the snowball.
This is actually Amy Winehouse, when she used to say NO TO DRUGS!! Kick the crack...Amy we want you back!!
Sometimes the music gets in you and you just have ta go where it takes ya
Two words: Marissa Tomeo...
Sheridan, I agree...it's not funny, people.
When I was about 12, I was walking down the street pretending I had cerebral palsy. My friend was sitting on the curb laughing at me. A man driving by stopped, jumped out of his car, grabbed my friend by the arm and scolded him for making fun of me. I had to stay in character until he drove away or we both would have got a thrashing. Heh-heh. Close one.
Hey girl, what do you say to a little f***?
Goodbye, Little F***!
‘Cause This Is Thriller, Thriller Night,
And No One’s Gonna Save You From The Beast About Strike,

I absolutely love the reckless abandon that she seems to have. I love when people laugh and just enjoy the moment and look broken.
Kudos to broken lady!
a really honest moment. goofy, happy. something really graceful about it.
to Desperate Cynic, that was one of the funniest comments i've seen on found I think. And I've been going back thru comments from about April.
