We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Could this possibly be.. a picture of ME??
I think this looks like a fairy with a light saber.
Beautiful!
And urban Monet-qualities to boot.
It's clearly a pole vaulter training for the night-vaulting circuit. Watch out for those power lines!
This is firewood collection....more wood for the poor wee fire pit in the foreground...That thar is camping Canadian style...
It's an upside down, Leprachaun's *Peace Pipe*, Laddies and Lassies!!!
It seems quite clearly to be a phosphorescent see-saw with a largely off-balanced fulcrum.
The'd wud dee ah blanaceng sood, wuth nari canna o fotsic boutitit, I think.
i hope the next found is good.
It's Lucky, the Lucky Charms Leprechaun, and he loves you thiiiiiiiiiiis Much!!!
Farmer, have you been reading Finnegans Wake again?
Clearly it is a deep-sea diving kitten (come on -- *someone else* must see a little cat face and paw -- right there above the handle of the green trident -- to the left -- yeah, you got it -- right there!) stalking the wild tuna. There's even a pretty coral in the bottom right corner.
AHH! It's that crazy rabbit! Run away!
Thumbelina writing a letter to congress?
@ LMA.. I DO see the little cat face! It looks like the kitty is holding broom.
Or possibly playing guitar.
@LMA
I see it now, the deep-sea kitten, and now I can't *not* see it. How does that work?
Anyway, it could be fishin fer dinner in an aquarium. A kitten's got to do what a kitten's got to do.
A really long chopstick, suspended in midair.
I really do love this image. It's like a dream. So I made it a favorite.
Let's speculate about that little spool shape just under the hovering levitating blade of grass. Spool of thread? Trash can? Fire hydrant? Bart Simpson's head?
This is crap.
I see many magickal things, none of which I am at liberty to divulge.
Phone, hang up the phone and drive!
It reminds me of an Outer Limits episode that I saw in repeats when I was about 7. I can't remember the title of that particular episode, but it's haunted me ever since.
This reminds me a bit of a previous Found this year of a poorly lit street photo of someone doing *something* to a light pole or sign post. (Quite possibly something unmentionable.)
But the colours in this one are much better, very Monet-like indeed. It also reminds me of a Found of a scratched-up photo of a young girl in a very 80s haircut. I believe it was called "Hard Rain."
Beautiful. Looks like a painting by Tom Carr (but unless you come from Belfast you probably wouldn't have heard of him).

@ JONATHAN- My mom was born in Dublin, in Hollystown, (hence my name) my roots are Irish and Scottish.
Anyhoo, my parents just adore Tom Carr's art. They own and have a few prints of his hanging in their home. At their cottage, they have "On the Beach" hanging in the T.V. room. (I believe that's the name)
Glad to see more people out there enjoying Tom's artwork.!
Thanks Jonathan!
Wow, Holly, that's fantastic!
I have a few of his pix because I used to go out with his youngest daughter a long time ago...
And I have a cousin in Belfast who said he'd just spent a lot of money on a painting he'd aways wanted, and I knew before he said it that it must be a Tom Carr.
Sadly Tom died a few years back. He was always penniless because he had no sense of value and if someone liked one of his pictures he would probably give it away (which is how his favourite daughter had so many!). He also had trouble with an alcoholic wife I believe, so not an entirely happy person.
I lost touch with the daughter and the rest of the family but I keep an eye open for the chance to see his pictures when I can.
(I was once allowed into the basement of Southampton Art Gallery to see one they had in store there.)
I'm rather surprised that The Green Fairy (in San Francisco!) has not commented on this Find. To me, it looks like it definitely has something to do with Absinthe.
The Cherry Fairies would most certainly approve.

Punk Abrasion. It's one of my all time favorite Finds. (they should allow up to 20 Faves, don't you think?)
Also, at first I thought you were talking about
http://foundmagazine.com/find/4312
"Construction," (that's the one that made some people dizzy, and others reminisce about their lives before their first pair of glasses, so be warned.)
but then I realized you meant

A Crazy Ride. INtriguing.
Was going to say that this reminded me of a Modern Art painting until I read the Tom Carr comments. Now I'll get busy googling Tom Carr
Hi Smallbear,
Tom's pix may disappoint you then, as they are always a picture OF something -- just that the magical colours and textures of this Find reminded me of his work.
Actually I think the Find is a picture of a small green tightrope walker crossing a shallow blue lake in a summer thunderstorm.
@Jonathan Your description of Tom Carr's painting matches my thoughts on seeing his work and you're correct I was disappointed. Oh Well....
Looks like the cover of an indie rock album... or maybe early 90s grunge.
I think it looks like a guy shooting pool.
my first reaction was 'creepy!' then i read the comments about the light-saber fairy and the scuba-diving kitten and now i like it. lol
