How Come?
FOUND by Kevin Fenning in Bath, England
This post-it note was found on the back of a seat on a bus in Bath (that'd be Bath, England). I love the juxtaposition between the bullshit "Life's a Doodle" and the real message.

I've got these post-it notes! They gave them out free at my uni, promoting a new make of biro pen or something...about 2 years ago.

I wouldn't talk to anyone )whom I wasn't talking too) if they wrote me that note on doodle paper. They could have been more creative

I think this person might have been referring to strangers on a bus.

I laughed my ass off when I saw this, and I don't know why.

I like how ironic this is: complaining about how they never talk anymore, but written on a post-it note. If it was such an issue, why not bring it up in person?

Maybe we don't even talk no more because you're afraid to commit. I can't be with someone who doesn't love me enough to stick with me. Maybe life IS a doodle, but I've learned to deal with it!

Lizardbits in a blender
This is what I see: a couple is on a bus and they just had another fight. They're not talking because they're too pissed to be cordial. Finally one succumbs to the guilt and writes rather shyly on a postit and sticks it on the back of the seat. The other looks at it and breaks down crying. A rather serious conversation about where their relationship ensues and... well, I don't want to speculate where it ends up, but I do like happy endings.

Jonathan, in somniac again,
'How come we don't even talk no more'.
Can't begin to imagine the circumstances in which this got written. Somebody's last desperate attempt at communication. Very sad.
Stick with us, Maggy! Be thankful it ain't you or me.. xxx

WTF does "Life's a Doodle" mean?

Jonathan in Life (which is not a doddle)
Anna...
I guess this was a 'doodle pad' for scribbling on. Maybe a pun on 'Life's a doddle' i.e. something easy. Which makes the Find even more sad.

I'm inclined to agree with Lizardbits in a blender. This reminds me of times I fought with my college roommate, and feeling too weird to talk to her, or like there was too much tension, and instead writing a little note that said something like this FOUND... Sometimes you feel guilty and can't look at someone in the eyes and break the silence... sometimes you're afraid they won't even talk back and that hurts more than just an ignored note...
