Television
FOUND by Abby in Jacksonville, Florida
I found this at a nearby public library, sticking out between two books in the medical section. My guess is somebody wanted it to be found. They got their wish. (If you look closely, you will see that it's not drawn with an ordinary #2 pencil, the lead is thicker.)
Night in gale
Awww...I hoped we'd have a sweet find today.

Thank you! <3

I'm not very good at these things, so before the cynics arrive, could someone tell me what it means? I don't get it.
+ November 06, 2007 12:15 AM +
Cute in genious
The little crying TV dropped her heart down the stairs and it broke, and the other one put it back together for her. :)
So cute!

The Captain in Tenille
Hmm.

I love this!! But I must be a little more jaded and cynical than Cute Ingenious. Looks to me like little crying TV trusted the other TV with her heart, and it ended up being used, misused, abused and broken. Now tv2 just wants her to take it back.

This reminds me of the Find titled "Tough Bounce."

And someone definitely placed this to be Found.
+ November 06, 2007 01:07 AM +
the man behind the curtain in oz
just as jaded, I thought the tv at the bottom of the steps was accusing the tv at the top of being a heart breaker, and the accused was crying from guilt. i admit that i prefer the cute ingenious interpretation, but it was not my own.

also, i thought they were robots ... or possibly little tiny ned kelly's but i did not think televisions.
+ November 06, 2007 02:25 AM +
baby basil in the herb garden
I thought "1960's astronauts" instead of TVs, but then I'm old, I remember the old "space" comedies.

I prefer the interpretation that the creature farther down the steps found the crying creature's heart that had been broken and then tossed by whoever made him cry; and is giving it back. It's still cracked but she fixed it as well as she could. This is the beginning of the healing process, knowing someone cares and shows a little empathy.

I love finds like this, we all see something different based on our own experiences.

I see it has these two TV Heads are having relationship problems. One is showing the other a broken heart and the other is crying. Or perhaps they are of the same TV Head in two different positions. Regardless, It's pretty cool. Says a lot about relationships.

Maybe, Boxman put it there?

Cute ingenious, that's so funny! It could also be the other way around: The little crying TV dropped his heart down the stairs and it broke, and the other one put it back together for him. :)

Their hands look like little half-moons, making it all the more miraculous that they could fix a broken heart.

#2 has just had his/her heart broken & #1 is offering his/her damaged but on-the-mend one to #2 to show them that someone cares, knows how they're feeling & that time heals.

I met my once best friend this way...she picked me up, dusted me off & kept me going when I just couldn't. We don't talk anymore..I don't really understand why. I miss her more than I've ever missed anyone.

Wendy, that's sad! I had the same experience with my old best friend. I couldn't figure out why we weren't best friends any more. But we were children. Okay, the fact that this was waving out there for someone to find irks me.

And the flower at the bottom of the step that was erased, that irks me, too.

Where's that guy who ultra-analyzes the find with photoshop? Can you tell us what the ghostly erased writing at the bottom says? Looks like the originator titled the find, but then erased it...
+ November 06, 2007 09:58 AM +
Once in love, in love again.
They had a big fight in which each TV had it's heart broken and they thought it was over. One TV found a way to fix the issue and mended the broken heart they share and arrives with the newly whole heart. Crying TV is overcome with emotion. They have a second chance, because they really always loved each other although their viewing habits are quite different.

Alas, poor weeping TV, it’s dreams of channeling PBS or the Independent Film Channel have been cut short by the family’s purchase of a GameBox and subscription to many sports channels. The other TV tries to console, but it’s family’s habit of watching only Lifetime movies has left it brokenhearted.

Norma Jean, I appreciate your faith in me!

Unfortunately I have no dazzling revelations or websites for you and not even anything much to say.

I think it's very touching the way this has sparked off so many sympathetic interpretations. Says more about the commenters than about the Find.

I think the one at the bottom is saying 'See what you did, you broke my heart' and the one at the top is sorry and weeping for shame.

I hope they will reconfigure their emotional circuits and get sparking together again soon.

Anatomically, Robots dont have hearts... Historically, It's been every robot's dream to be more human... Sadly, too many times, it has been proven that "being more human" does not guarantee happiness... but explaining that to a spkbi7 (child robot)is never enough... so pzoicl3(big brother robot)just have to prove it to his little sister by finding a human and ripping out his/her heart, and presenting it to her... It's a heartless way to get his point accross, but she got it in the end... She eventually took comfort in the fact that at least her emotion chip worked...(notice the drop of tear from her secretion duct)...
