We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
This sometimes-functioning box fan and Miami Vice inspired love seat could be yours, if the Price is Right!
Too funny, Vegas! I wanted to add a comment here because this is the first find I ever saw after someone turned me on to this site. The yellow dress woman haunts me in my dreams.
I wonder if they still live there, it looks like a shit hole.
My first thought was that this is her first apartment and she hasn't finished moving in yet, or hasn't furnished it yet. It looks to me like she has a new or near new couch that she's proud to own. Looks like she's "spreading her wings" to me.
In Chicago this apartment (or office) could be a little pricey.
this picture is haunting. i want to know where she is now, and if she is still as happy as she looks.
its fun to see stuff found in chicago, i wonder if i've ever passed to finder of this on the street....
I think she looks beautiful and triumphant. I bet she owns this shit hole, or just moved into her own apartment, and I am happy for her!
She is triumphant because she knows THE Waterwalker!
My first thought has always been that this is a stunning woman in a stunning yellow dress. Fuck the surroundings, "shithole" or otherwise. She has overcome all that a million times over with her beauty, style, and grace.
nice :)
;))
Feel like having romance with that cute babe
this is a wonderful pic - Jules your right is saying shes stunning. The yellowdress just jumps out at you and her stance is all about confidence.
i also found it amusing tothink that the two doors either side were chosing between hevean and hell and she's pointing them out.
Reminds me of my first apartment and the absolute joy of being on my own. This is the first picture to really make me smile :)
She is *fabulous* on that couch in that yellow dress! I love this shot!
Hi our little brothers.
Big thanx to webmaster!S
These folks either just moved in to this place, or are too poor to buy anything for that basement but the couch and box fan. Being from Chicago a while back, I recognize the Chicago basement, with the cheap dropped ceiling, and painted concrete
slab floor. This looks like it might be in an old bungalow in the south suburbs of chicago. She looks like shes is so excited she has one new piece of furniture. One wonders, as barren as the place is, if it was repossessed shortly after......lets hope not....
more proof that this is a basement in a bungalow...the doors all over the basement leading to nowhere. When they "finish" basements in Chicago, they have many "doors"
leading to nowhere, as they are simply ways
to seperate the utility room and appliances
from the "finished" part. Some have 5-8 doors all over the basement, like a funhouse. And most open up into little closets or just the utility room, which is why they are the "multiple doors to nowhere."
The "heaven and hell" analogy would have to be espanded to limbo, purgatory, the river styx, nirvana, and a few others to match the other doors you cant see in the picture.
Did they have to climb onto the *balcony* to get that shot? I love when people think they have to stand 100 yards from the subject to get a picture.
Love the pretty girl in the fab dress, though.
The distant view is the *point*. She’s saying ‘I may not have the carpet or the rest of the furniture yet, but I have this sofa, and this apartment is MINE, all mine!’ Hence photo including as much as possible. (Not sure about the ?? dead dog in the lower right hand corner though.) I love her. I hope she is still happy.
It appears that when she flung her arms open, little pieces of her dress came flying towards the camera. Fun picture though.
She's showing the couch on, "The Price Is Right" Hoping some lucky player will win it.
Aspiring Barbazon model has girlfriend who knows nothing about photography take some shots in her new yellow dress.
Is that standing water all over the floor? Maybe her place got flooded. Or she came to cheer up a friend, whose place got flooded, like a 'ray of sunshine'
The shot-from-a-distance perspective makes me imagine: is it a two-way mirror? Does the woman know she's being observed?
