We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...

My parents would take pictures of like that of me but with watermelons. :)
TWO paper turkeys. Papa turkey and baby turkey.
Most parents get their kids to behave by telling them Santa won't come otherwise. This kids parent's got him to behave by telling him he'd be the REAL Thanksgiving turkey if he acted up.
A baby on the table?! That's jive turkey!
I totally forgot that I had commented on this before. In fact, until I read my previous comment, I had no recollection of ever having seen this before.
What I came here to say today is that this is one of the cutest things I've ever seen. At least in the top 100. And Amanda's description is kind of cute too.
Apparently, I'm in a much different mindset today than the mindset I was in back on 5/27/07.
I agree with Colin about the two turkeys being a parent turkey and the baby turkey. I think this picture is adorable. Maybe one of the parents made the centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table and wanted to document his/her accomplishment.
This kids parents probably used the turkey to guage the kids size every thanksgiving. Somewhere is this years picture of a 6'6" black man sitting on the table next to this turkey.
What a sweet little face. His hands certainly are different looking though. Oh wait, never mind, I see now he is clutching a bottle in his right hand. My bad.
maybe the kid climbed up onto the table to play with the turkeys and they thought it was cute
I had to Google Ashby Bart. It sounds so cool.
BART= Bay Area Rapid Transit.
Ashby Station is located on Ashby Avenue and Adeline Street in the southern part of Berkeley, CA. (doesn't sound that cool.)
The thing I like about this Find is it's basically Timeless. I mean, we can GUESS it's from the '70s, judging from the coffee carafe or whatever it is back there, and the garish color of the turkeys (paper turkeys available these days tend toward more muted orange/yellow/brown rather than vivid reds), but it really could be from ANY time after the advent of color photography.
I love this little guy. Wonder where he is now.
