Timeless

I discovered this picture on the outside window ledge of a restaurant that used to be a railroad depot in Louisiana. I don't know what the guy is rolling up - it's kind of like he stops mid-toke with that regular cigarette when he sees what the other guy is working on. If you blow it up, you'll see coins in the tall guy's outstretched hand, and that they seem to be standing in front of a cage. A cock fight, maybe? The dressed up dude who's rolling seems too dressed up for a cock fight, though, unless maybe it's because he's been booked as the opening act.
The picture at first seems real early sixties, until you see the white guy in the background, sort of like it has traveled through time and picked up a recent passenger before I met it at the railroad station to bring it home.
The white parts are where the photo surface has cracked and flaked off, and the other marks on the surface look as if the coating has melted in the heat. It could be a few months old, or a few years, but regardless, timeless.

The "Cage" they're standing in is in fact the speaker grille of a 1963 Seeburg LPC-1 jukebox. This was the most popular model of jukebox manufactured during the 1960s.
it's snoop dogg, puff daddy and eminem in the early years.
It looks like Little Richie or whatever his name is. That famous singer from long ago with "Little" in front of his name.
The guy on the left could be a wearing some kind of Miami Vice outfit from the 80s, big shoulder pads, small tie, updo. That would explain the guy in the back a little more..hmmmm
It's gotta be from the sixties, not only the clothes, hair, and jukebox attest to that but the photograph itself with the white scalloped edging. White men wore baseball caps back then too!
Lee... you crack me up! that totally makes the photo.
The coins make sense if they are standing in front of a jukebox. I think this is a great little snippet of time that that would have never been seen. Great find!
You mean they hire people as opening acts for a cock fight?
I never would have thought that.
Hmm
Love it. Love everything about it. That's quite a pomp he's got there. Perhaps he's a magician doing a trick, and the tall chap is a volunteer from the audience? That would warrant a photo. And Christina from UT: Little Richard is the name you're looking for.
The best thing about it though is the guy in the baseball cap on the right. It's as if a fraternity discovered time travel for the sole purpose of getting hammered in the past...
It's very strange how there's a circular cracking portion in the middle between their heads- the way it warps both their faces is very bizarre.
It's Eddie Murphy and Will Smith in the newest version of The Odd Couple!
