We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
either devoted or desperate..."I'll wait until you get out"
Check out the date... June 10th (or 16th)1982. Wonder if he got out?
What does it say about "him" that this bill is back in circulation? Was he so desperate, (upon getting out?) that he had to spend it despite its emotional value? Did it have no emotional value for him? If someone wrote me this note on a dollar bill I'd save it forever.
I'd be creeped out by this.Spend it or burn it,and since i'm too cheap to burn it...
Maybe that's why none of my friends are married--we're just not persistant enough...
There is a website postsecret.com and there was a man who said he writes his secrets or things he finds to hard to tell people on dollar bills a lot of people replied back they do the same thing...maybe it is one of those.
I've had that dollar before! =D
Wow...stalker much?! :-)
I don't know if any of you have ever seen the post secret book called "My Secret" but in it there's a secret that says, "I wrote you a note on a dollar bill hoping it would someday end up in your wallet" or something along those lines. This reminded me. Could it be?
I write secrets on dollar bills sometimes.
I write secrets (& illustrate them) on my gum wrappers. Then I scatter them.
Maybe people who leave secrets and odd notes themselves are more likely to read PostSecret & Found?
Was he worth only 1 dollar to her? How shame. I wonder if forever means that she can leave if she pays him dollar when he gets out.
What does the back of the dollar say? There is an arrow at the top?
aww i like this even though there is so much desperation. sounds like she's waiting for him to get out of another relationship
When i was 16-18 i wrote tags and pieces on 10 en 25 gulden notes. To me it was the ultimate form of graffiti. and now i think about it, It still is. It was a joy to do that sometimes. :)
Creepy, my niece's ex-husband did something similar to the title of her car when she left him. It took her forever to get the title from him and when she did he had written all over it, stuff like "you belong to me, come back I love you soooooo much" and all kinds of other stuff.
Yeah, he loved her so much he used to pull a gun on her......psycho.
When she went to sell the car the good ol' RMV gave her a hard time about the title, like she had something to do with it.
