Beautiful Day
FOUND by Colleen Pascu in Keene, New Hampshire
I found this in one of the computer labs at the college where I work. It was mid-May and we were just experiencing the first good days of spring.
Sammy Davis Junior Jr
Reminds me of those college days, not too long ago, stuck inside getting that paper done.
Yuck! Grab that laptop and enjoy the day outside!

Or is the glass half full?
Ha! There is no glass.

@ Gloria: neither. The glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Must have been having a *bad* day, like SAMMY DAVIS said.

Carla Sue, ready for a beautiful day in Indiana
I work weekends - twelve hour days. It makes it easier when it's NOT beautiful outside.
So I know where you're coming from.. honest I do.

@ lawndude...It's clear you've never held one of those inside jobs. I used to work in a basement. Sometimes I'd consider eating inside because if I went out, I was afraid I wouldn't come back.

Fortunately, I don't work there anymore.

it's so much easier to not own houses or apartments, to not have a child or a church, to not be a pimp or a hoe, to not ask god or own a bible or a gun, and to not hurt a family when it's nasty weather out. nice weather really makes me want to be a hoe with a bible and a gun.

Thanks for the coffee spit-take, kwyncee! That caught me totally off-guard.

Today may be beautiful, but the bright side is that tomorrow will be cloudy, with a chance of meatballs.

One of the last times I was in Keene, it was in the middle of summer, and there was a torrential hailstorm.

Whiskey in The Jar
My first thought of this really kind of scares me. My first thought was that the writer was going planning on doing something horrible like suicide, and was sorry that it was such a beautiful day and that's what his/her parents would remember of that day.

My second thought, much less morbid.... One friend asks "hey want to go out and play bastketball in the park after class?" and the other friend says "I can't, I have to finish this paper before I go to work." "too bad, today is so beautiful.

I'm choosing the second.

There is no better entertainment when today is so beautiful, then reading an illustrated childrens book.

Don't worry. If it's only May you can count on the weather becoming crappy again in a matter of days or even hours.

did the purple marker writer mean "too bad, today is so beautiful", or "too bad today is so beautiful" as in they were hoping for crappy weather?

Wait. Don't tell me. This is Kimya Dawson lyrics!

When I read this Find this morning, I had every intention of going for a long walk outside and playing at the park with friends. Too bad it never happened. It was a beautiful day today.

@ Night in gale ... spot on!! Here are the lyrics for the whole song:

It's too bad today is so beautiful.
If it's too bad, remember I love you.
If it's bad today, remember I love you.
If it's today is, remember I love you.
If it's is so, remember I love you.
If it's so beautiful, remember I love you.
Uno loves you, too.

U2-BEAUTIFUL DAY...BEAUTIFUL Song & Lyrics, BEAUTIFUL Bad!
Lyrics For Those Who Want.....

Beautiful Day

The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town

You're out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere

You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace

It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In the maze of her imagination

You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out

It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day

i do love this.
i love sunny days but there are some mornings when i wake up and say "i'm in a rainy day-mood today. i want it to be rainy and cold. then i can't feel guilty about wanting to skip class and drink hot chocolate and watch movies all day."
and beautiful days are truly beautiful; they remind us of our blessings, i think.
but sometimes, you just need a rainy day too.
