I wish I had some chips right about now. Of course, being a Yankee, I call them fries.

Mmmm, fries.

Go Chanchi, I'm glad that the chips brought you so much happiness.

I'm glad Chanchi scrawled his/her declaration on a leaflet and not the bench itself. Chanchi has class.

How do you like to enjoy your Jo Jingles at home? With a little sour cream dip? Slathered in barbeque sauce? Sprinkled over a cake that is thick with buttercream frosting?

Chanchi, you made my day! Loving every minute of life with a bag of chips? Not too complicated.
I think I will skip work today and go enjoy a bag of chips in the park.

If Katie found the note last summer, but Chanchi 'woz ere' in 06, had the note been sitting on the bench for a year? Or had Chanchi herself been there for a year? Eating chips the whole time? Confused!

@Jen: Easy. Katie found the note in summer of 06, sent it in during 07, but it's taken the Found team 18 mos or so to post it. Very normal for Found. It can take upwards of 2 years for a find to be posted, if it gets posted. They have all those shopping lists and angry parking notes to post first.

research has shown that music rhythm and rhyme has an enormous part to play in a child's early development. chanci's parents must have played jo jingles for her/him when s/he was in early childhood.

Just thinking..."chancho" is a Chilean word meaning "pig" so maybe "Chanchi" is a piggy person who porks out on chips regularly on that bench, a la fat kids with cake.

@ Hiplainsdrifter ... thanks for the warning; hadn't seen that little exchange. Let's see, I guess I was referring to Robert Kennedy. Yeah, that's it: R.K. = Robert Kennedy. And the old black and white photos he sends in from upstate New York.

@ 21Skulls ... I'm with Hiplainsdrifter on the identity of "Jo Jangles."

"Jo Jingles" is a whole other thing. From their website: "JO JINGLES - the UK's leading provider of fun, interactive music, singing and movement classes with an educational slant for babies and children aged from 6 months to 5 years of age (7 or 8 in some areas) in more than 500 centres around the UK and in Ireland.

"The aim of a Jo Jingles class is to enhance a child's pre-school education by stimulating their interest and enjoyment of music using a series of varied and fun-themed musical programmes."

Nothing about eating chips on benches, though!

And the mentions of both Bo Jangles and this Jo Jingles thing puts me in mind of Odetta. Now, SHE rocked! Can I have an 'Amen' to that?

I thought is said "eating chimps" at first. I thought "Oh no!! Monkey! Run!!" I'm glad I was wrong. Monkey is a valuable contributor to this site.
