We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I find this picture upsetting, and yet beautifully inspiring at the same time. i wish i could just sit and wonder without a care. and i must say i do love the shoes.
I think this is a beautiful picture. I wonder why it was taped to a window sill?
This looks a lot like my brother. And we might've been to Minneapolis. I will always wonder.
that is one puffy coat
Does any one else feel like that is a suicide note? The innocence of childhood...looking off into the distance in the photo and to the outside world, as it is taped to the window. I dunno, for some reason, that photo being taped to a window strikes me as incredibly sad.
I love that the little guy's wearing those rugged boots, but his feet don't reach the ground.
Puffy samples his surroundings.
Looks to me like it might be a studio backdrop rather than an actual view (notice how crisp the foreground is in contrast to the ground in the blurred backdrop, particularly in the lower right). Either way, it's a somewhat haunting photo.
He must be looking out upon one of ten thousand lakes.
I absolutely LOVE this picture!
This is one of the creepiest pictures I have ever seen.
I don't find this creepy. It's a beautiful photo.
The first thing I thought of when I read that it was taped to a window sill of a vacant apartment, was that a homeless person was using the apartment as a home. This picture was their only possession reminding them of a lost loved one. Like a child that died or got taken away. How sad that it got taken down:(
This is sad. i feel like hes been left up there!
The fact that it was taped tells you that someone wanted to look at it as they stared out the window, as though they were watching children play, possibly their child.
The window was a shrine and I have this horrible feeling that the child may have died. I truly hope not. It has very 1970s look to it. You feel as though the little boy is looking at the Grand Canyon and knows all the answers in life.
Jeez what did he have for dinner?
Creepy.
*roll eyes*
This little boy is soooo cute I just want to squish him and love him and hug him and love him and squish him and pinch his little cheeks. Puffy jackets are cool.
Are we sure this is a little boy and not a little person. I really feel like its a little person.
I get the impression that this is an oriental child, possibly Chinese and taken in China. The clothing and chubbiness of the child leads me to that conclusion.
