An Anonymous Savior
FOUND by Rebecca Kannett in Fairfax, California
Arms piled with bags of groceries, my father and I made our way back to the car to find a piece of paper on the windshield wiper. A sentence written on the paper seemed to give us both a reality check, for an anonymous savior gave us a gift.
Feeling in coherent

baby basil in the herb garden
Reminds me of the opening scene of "Cactus Flower" where the young man is putting daisies on the windscreens of all the cars parked on his street.

The world needs more parking-lot notes like this one.

Might want to be careful about leaving such notes on just anyone's car. Sure, these recipients were probably worthy of the sentiment. But, what if they'd actually been axe murdering rapists? You sure you want to be sending encouragement and notes of affirmation to axe murdering rapists?

This reminds me of a Valentines day, when I was going through a deep depression ... I was sitting in a bus trying to stop crying, and a guy next to me gave me a paper flower he made with one sheet of a book he had. He said something like "There will be always something for you in life" and then he stepped out of the bus.
He made my day....after 5 years I still have that paper flower and very time I feel blue I see it and remember that there's something good for me out there.

Happy Holidays!
