This Fruit Meal

While flying cross-country last year, I requested the vegan in-flight meal, out of curiosity. After I'd finished, I picked up the tray to toss it in the trash, and found this note underneath.
The main portion actually hadn't been fruit, but beans and rice, with a few strawberries on the side. I found it interesting that it would be classified as a "fruit" meal, especially since I was bound for the notoriously gay city of San Francisco.

Thanks Steph, for letting me feel that I accomplished something today.
If it was a gay "fruit meal" there would have been bananas and kiwis! Since it was headed to San Francisco, no cherries.
I've gotten these vegan meals before. I stopped ordering them when I started to worry they probably bought me points toward some kind of watch-list status. They taste like ass anyway.
Maybe you've had too many "tossed salads" Christy. (Sorry, I just learned a new thing and I can't get it out of my head.)

i love how it was expressly made for you but they didn't have the time to just write it on there. so personal and so mass-produced at the same time.
& don't forget Beans, beans, they're good for your heart, the more you eat the more you ________.
So, I am glad that we are on the same level about beans being fruit. Nobody touched on the fact that a) Rice is NOT a fruit, it's grain and b) believe it or not, there are straight people who live in San Francisco. We eat fruit, including beans, especially with rice and in burritos. And a "Burrito" is not a code word for anything lewd, ok? It's meal.

I just went on a trip to Italy, and I am a vegetarian so I requested the vegetarian meal. AirFrance served me fried pineapple and rice among other fried vegetables for my main course... no fruit stamps though.
