to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
My dog is named Jasper, too! I love this note and agree wholeheartedly! Jasper is the best dog. Jasper Jasper I love Jasper!
I work at an elementary school where the librarian brings in his dog Jasper so the kids can read to him. I wonder if Sara is/was a student at the same school.
Oh the pure and simple joys of true love!
I feel absolutely the same way about both my dogs. I could write rhapsodizing poetry about them as well.
My dog's name is Jasper too, and I certainly agree with Sara here. He's the BEST!

GO JASPER! I love Jasper, too! Hahahaha...I seriously laughed out loud when I saw this, it reminds me of a poem I would've written about my dog for school when I was ten years old.
Oh, and I also found it quite funny that she had to write her name at the bottom, as if anyone was going to steal it. XD
When I was tiny (maybe 4?) my best friend and I had a game which pretty much consisted of saying a phrase like this over and over. Her dog's name was Patches. For some reason it was the funniest, most enjoyable thing EVER.

Um, first I got all giggly and teary-eyed at the simple sweetness of this, and how even though I'm an adult, if I had to sum up my feelings about my dogs, Goliath and Tina-Bina(both dead), I think this child's words would be exactly those I would use.
Then I saw the other two people who stopped to comment that they feel the same way about their dead dogs, and now I'm crying. But in that happy way, I guess.
It makes me smile to know that so many of us have been lucky enough to own the best dogs!
Oh crap - now I'm crying! This is such a perfect note in it's simplicity and poignancy. I loved all of my dogs like this, and I still miss all of them.
I just happened to stumble across this site and this note struck me because the first person i ever fell in love with was name jasper... and my name is sarah.... maybe i should tell him after all

Aww. I love this. I feel this way about all my animals, past and present. I think the first part sounds best shouted. :)

Clicked on this randomly out of curiosity because my boyfriends dogs name is jasper.
I was so shocked by the similarities
- My name is also Sara. Which, Where I'm from, is rarely spelt without the 'h'
- I'm an animal lover
- like i said, my boyfriends dogs name is jasper
- the note is written like a song, and i always sing stupid little songs like that one when i'm in a good mood... and have sung one about his dog before and how cute he is.
It left me (and my boyfriend) weirded out but it was also a pleasant surprise :)
