Fine Ass Babes
FOUND by Annette Kesterson in Pacifica, California
I found this note in the fiction section of my high school library; it fell out of a book, though I unfortunately don't know which title. It made my morning... direct from when I was in high school!

Ahh, the 80s! And Simon Le Bon certainly did the goods.

I don't know anyone who ever liked Duran Duran in that order. It was always John/Simon/Nick/Andy/Roger to me! Excellent find.

I had to stop and study this to see if it was a note amongst my friends circa '85 or '86... I bet a whole generation of us has a version of this note -- subjects and style -- stored in our closets and attics somewhere.

It was always great to have friends who liked Nick the best. Then you didn't have to argue about who would go out with whom. Because OBVIOUSLY Duran Duran were going to call us when they came to town. My favorite part of this document is the inclusion of the Double D and the Seven and the Ragged Tiger logos. That's exactly what I used to do.

This totally looks like a page out of my notebook from the 80s. Complete with the symbols (though I didn't like Wham). I was totally obsessed. And Simon was by far my favorite.

Ouende in the land of nostalgia
Simon was my babe (probably more for the name than the looks)... I always thought Nick looked like the Lucky Charms Leprechaun. (before they redrew Lucky, that is) OMG my entire room, including the ceiling, was plastered with Wham and Duran Duran! Weren't those the days!

I swear this is mine, but if it is, I would have written it in the 80s. What city was it found in? See the word "Vic" in the middle. Thats me. :-)

Ahhh the 80's. How I loved these bands. I think I'll go home and listen to my Duran Duran greatest hits CD tonight.

OMG! When I first looked at this I thought it was something I wrote too. It is funny how there is a generation of people that truly thought this was from their HS days. Rock on 1985!

I think I DID write this note. I am from Daly City, right next to Pacifica. My friend Andrea and I were seriously into Duran Duran. I wish they included what library book this was found in...

I like the 'New Moon on Monday.' I wonder if he/she is talking about the 2nd book in the Twilight series. Makes sense to since it was found in the fiction section =)
