We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
It just needs a big red "S". Super Sean!
Sorry, your princess is in another castle.
maybe you'll start finding heart pieces next...
it looks like one of the thingies in Bejewelled.
I thought it was a pair of underwear.
Ha Ha I'm stalking Mona again.
Yay Sean S in Rockville, MD. (does he still post here?)
Are you sure it's not a Tsavorite garnet?
It's a green pentagon. That's all I have.
Well exccccuuuuussss me...
That is an aerial view of the field of play at Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers.

I like the way it glows. I'd wear it.
Started out in the Twilight Zone with the infamous purple Erin note. Recognized it. When back a day, forward a day and found the real Find of the Day - this one.
The finder has to be a she-Sean because no self-respecting he-Sean would write that lead-in paragraph without ruining his keyboard with puke. And the writer clearly needs to up the meds if she actually believes finding a "crude crayon rendering" might free "some princess somewhere from an evil villain." Oh, brother!
I may be alone in this, but for simple finds like this I prefer a simple lede like "Found this while walking on MD-355. Who knew there were jewels there?"
Bet Sean broke her green crayon before she finished coloring in the pentagon.
Coffee...need more coffee...
Freonz, how 'bout i spike your coffee with a little sumpin sumpin...
@JASON in HQ, the links are a bit wonky.
When you come in you're at "Erin" with no forward link. The back link goes to "Gay.com". Go forward from "Gay.com" and you're at "Return of the Legend of Zelda". Go back from there and you're back at "Erin".
Yes, Mona that would be wunnerful!! Might help my sunny disposition - bwahahahaha.
freonz, did you forget your meds today? Ease up. You're gonna strain something.
The diamonds in Legend of Zelda didn't look like that.
@Freonz--The second find of the day arrow (the one pointing to the right) never even appears for me until I click on the comments for the first found of the day. Also, I think the new ad at the top of the page is slowing down my work computer a LOT. It is taking about 3 minutes for the whole page to load.
@Mona- Can I have a little sumpin' for MY coffee, please? GRRRRRR.
what exactly is a "emerald dimond"? i'm not nitpicking the spelling so much as the emerald/diamond combo jewel. i want one of those... and i want it to be that big.
I never played Zelda so I don't know what those emeralds look like...I guess the Chaos Emeralds in the Sonic games are shaped a little differently (My bf & I just got a game system that plays old Sega and Nintendo games so we can save princesses and battle Dr. Robotnik all over again...)
(I kick ass at the mean bean machine)
Now when you picked it up did your hear a tonal noise? A kind of musical "bling"?
Did you have to punch anything to make this jewel appear?
Do you have an irresistable urge to hit things with a hammer?
Do you feel invincible after eating certain foods or stepping on a mushroom?
If you answered yes to any of these questions I would suspect that you have crossed over to some kind of parallel video universe. So stay away from anything strange and always have a weapon drawn. Good Luck!
Sorry to piss in your Cheerios, Sean, but I think it was just some kid screwing around with a green crayon. There were probably other shapes, too.
Well then it's settled!
This is a picture of a girl's best friend.
It's a gemerald! Duh.
I thought the gems in Zalda were called rupees. Which reminds me of the Soviet Union currency. Are Link and all of Hyrule commies?
Zelda even...
I'd a friend who was drawing little rings and jewellery on the small peaces of paper and than eat it. He was rich inside.
(Today in the school I saw a girl who was wearing shoes in the same color. This is a singn from 'green guys')
It's one of those 3-D stare-e-o-grams. If you unfocus and stare at it long enough, you'll see Yoda's face floating above the surface.
I think it's a dilithium crystal.
Hey Alan who makes that weird noise in Joe Strummer's head: just so you know a girl's best friend is her hairdresser.
Now you're freaking insulting the Finder's leads. Well that's a step up from just insulting everybody's comments.
"Well I quite prefer blahblahblah... " Whatever.
Pretty Find, Sean.
Yeah, no wonder Sean doesn't comment anymore.
Who here is willing to buy, steal or beg me a gemerald? I'm willing to do anything for one!
a not so subtle note to someone's boyfriend what they want for Christmas or birthday
I think Sean still comments.. in cognito.
Maybe it's some kid who loves Zelda. Seriously. Why not?

@ Mona Lisa...It does look like one of the gems in Bejewelled, my husband's favorite mindless passtime. In my youthful days, a "Zelda" was an ugly girl, and a "Betty" was a good looking girl. Perhaps next time I desire some pretty bauble with a colored gem, say, for Christmas or an anniversary, I should simply get out the old Crayolas and draw something like this to give to my hubby. Subtle hints don't seem to work, so what the heck!
@Phoebe Muse....omg, sorry I didn't see you already had the same idea for giving the b/f a pictoral Christmas or Birthday wish list. Guess I wasn't too original on that one.
It's a new GEM, the Gemologists call it a Bird's Eye View "BASEBALL" Diamond!!!!
I thought it was funny....
You have your games confused.
Clearly it's a Chaos Emerald from Sonic the Hedgehog.
I find it appalling that no one has felt the need to just mention, for mentioning's sake, the name of the "diamond from Zelda" - The TRIFORCE!
apronk, your geek factor just multiplied tenfold. Good Job!!
Looks like Superman decided to go green. Good for him. But then again, he already is solar powered...
Pepper--I agree with you totally! My first thought was giant green underpants with a pointy crotch!
Of course I am clearly out of the loop as I have no clue who or what Zelda might be.
It's a bird...it's a plane...it's Environmentalist Supermaaaan!
I couldn't help but smile when I saw this.
I love your reference to Zelda, but I'd have to say it looks more like a chaos emerald from the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
(Either way, hope you freed your princess!)
