We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
well, Nancy should feel very good about herself!
well, at least Jean-Luc Nancy is giving us a good name. his philosophy is transformative after all.
jean-luc is a french name for a boy.
Nancy is a town in france (north east).
She seems to like the town...and jean-luc
Jean-Luc Nancy is a French Philosopher.
"I don't (dis)like the French"? After reading Nancy, are they now indifferent? Maybe this was Bern's transformation.
Man, I was wondering what I did with that note!
Celeste, is Bern in Cleveland by any chance? She sounds like a Bernadette I know, who is friends with a Celeste.
Presumably Celeste has some French blood so
Bern is half-insulting her by suggesting that he doesn't like the French. He's a jerk.
'I don't (dis)like' is a very weaselly phrase when you think about it.
Good luck to Bern, though.
'Like Heidegger, Nancy interprets Kant’s freedom as an unconditional causality; freedom is that of a subject who, before it can make a decision to be free, forgets that it is always already thrown into existence.' (Wikipedia)
Ouch! My brain hurts! Can I go back to reading Adorno please? (nooo... only joking)
What bothers me most is that if you take the independent clause out, he repeats himself: "I just had to say that...that I am transformed." Okay for speech, but not the best choice in a note that tries for condescension.
I have a friend Bern who has a sister Celeste! I called her and she told me it wasnt her note but i dont know if i believe her!
