We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
i really love this picture.
i think this photo is a bit on the creepy side, it looks like the girl is starring at the camera!
This reminds me of the loneliness of my college days...very much. Maybe lots of others have felt the same way....
Beautiful!
I hate winter!
Where is this? Some place flat and austere. Is that a dusting of snow? I imagine this to be Canada with a frozen lake in the background. It has that wan light of winter.
that's what most people do when they're being photographed, colleen. also it's "staring" - no stars involved.
I lived in Manitoba Canada for a while, this picture remindes me of the fields covered in snow during the winter. It was very pretty but I don't miss the cold.
Beautiful picture, my favorite time of day! Actually I think that she is looking though a pair of binoculars.
That's a very nice picture. I wonder if someone is missing it or if they left it behind on purpose. =)
It looks to me like she is drinking hot chocolate or coffee. They were driving along this road and the sunset is so much more beautiful, so much more colorful, than this picture lets on. The snow is an orangey-pink, reflecting the sky. It was so beautiful, with the perfect every-color-possible that they had to stop the truck and watch it. Right here is where they normally turn right and then the hill would have blocked their view. So they stopped to watch it for a few minutes. It was a perfect moment.
She got out to stretch her legs.. and he realized how beautiful she was there.. her sillhouette against the perfect sunset... so he moved the camera just slightly to take a picture of her, too.
Just a moment so beautiful, they wanted it preserved.. but it's still missing something here. That's alright. Afterward, they finished the drive home, with the christmas presents for the family still in the truck, hidden under blankets, and they sent the kids to bed, then sat on the couch for a few minutes, while she finished her hot chocolate/coffee and they watched the christmas tree lights, and she reflected on how the electric lights weren't nearly as beautiful as the sunset reflecting on the snow, and wondered where she was going to put the presents for the next week until christmas was here, and he watched her thinking and remembered what he fell in love with, and how the camera would never catch the beauty he sees, and then remembered he has to change the oil in his truck, and maybe he ought to do that tomorrow right after work...
Wow... I've seen so little snow in my life, I just instantly assumed that this picture was taken at the beach at dusk on a muggy day.
Thank you, Star.
That would make an excellent book cover.
Well, I'm not going to lie to you guyes, You don't have to go as far as Canada for a sunset like that. Thats what it looked like here about an hour ago.
Tom is rude.
I disagree, Mary in Texas. He has a very good point. It is staring, and that is how one typically poses for a photograph. Try hearing his words in another tone of voice if his words bother you.. try a teasing tone rather than a whining obnoxious one.
This is a wonderful picture.
I love it! It's a great find.
This is a photo taken from the Mars rover. NASA has just discovered life on Mars, and it seems to prefer decaf.
(Seriously, go check out some of these pics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_rover)
Interesting how we all see something a little different in this picture. I automatically thought it was a sunrise not sunset! One will never know unless Jeff has some connections at NASA to find out for us.
I love this picture. I wish I found something like that in my dorm room... I'm going to leave something though.
It almost looks like the snow was disturbed by tire tracks in front of the person in the picture, and then the tracks seem mysteriously disappear. Maybe this is the end of the road to nowhere?
every season has its beauty.
