We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
What a strange little picture. I don't know why, but it's sort of unsettling.
Love the Smurf hat!!
What the hell?
wtf is that at the front? a big ball of trash? a flaw in the photo? and seriously, where the hell would one get a SMURF hat, because that's got to be what that person is wearing! this is bizarre on multiple levels.
Wow, that's one freaky bus driver lady. With a hat like that, I'd be interested to see who she's driving around!
that thing looks like a big blue stuffed bunny and i can't tell what it is sitting on
Tara- you're right. it's a big blue easter bunny- it's sitting on a fare box of a city bus. it's probably easter and she is dressed up (bunny ears). maybe one of her regular fares gave her that bunny.
Such a serious face for such a silly picture :|
I saw the title and thought, "Hey, the buses where I live are called the Metro too!". And then I saw that you are from Cincinnati too!
But yes, how can someone look so stoic while wearing a hat like that one?!
That is your basic GFI GenFare box, notorious for blocking much of the driver's view of the door (and thus the right front part of the bus). Of course, the giant bunny doesn't exactly improve visibility. Between the bunny and the white ears on the driver, I'm guessing Easter. It's a wonderful photograph. I'd love to know what the person who took it was thinking.
I regularly ride the Metro here in Cincinnati and, I must say, this is not the strangest thing I've seen on one of our buses - though this might be the most interesting scene involving a driver.
ohio is the portal to hell....thats why this picture is so odd.
I think this photo was tossed since the bus driver turned her head back to focus on her driving.
'Riding the metro', I thought the same thing.
I just moved to Philly from Cincinnati, and this is kind of comforting. :]
Even if they do try to own the entire road.
That driver looks real angry to be surrounded by large bunnies.
I saw this and laughed my butt off. I'm sure the driver is a really kind lady... the kind of person who puts on bunny stuff... but got caught at the moment when she wasn't prepared. Love it!
She looks like a deranged Easter bunny, who was just kissed on the cheek.
Talk about a visual impairment. I'm sure she's not the least upset about the real bunny she just drove over cause she never even saw it crossing the road.
Wow the photo looks so beautiful! I never even realized it was a bunny in the front and ears on the driver. What I find so massively georgeous is the tree in the background through the window. I still cannot place the location on the Cincinnati grid where that is. I miss Queen City!
It's odd, the scenery outside the side window doesn't look like it matches the front one.
It's all green to the side and out the windshield it looks all rainy and grey.
Kaitlin, it could be because the front window is treated somehow to reduce sun and headlight glare in the busdrivers eyes, and the side window is not. Or it could be that the picture was snapped the very moment the bus entered the whirling vortex of doooooom.
It looks like the walk from UC up Clifton Ave passing Burnett Woods, I think those are some of the long stairs leading up to the park. Odd how green the grass is, yet no leaves on the trees. So many weird things in this photo, looks like one of those "What's wrong with this picture?" puzzles from Highlights Magazine.
First glance I thought it was cotton candy. I thought she was making it. Then I noticed that she was actually making cotton candy while driving a bus. Isn't that dangerous? The hat reminds one of the time Lucy was working at the chocolate factory. I like the red kiss lips on her cheek.
I thought it was like a zoo or amusement park ticket booth. There appears to be what looks like a stroller infront of her.
