"Live with only my friends" is the only goal I share with our author.

Well, that and have a career about which I can make lists...

"Have a HUGE house," yea, so you can store ALL your computers and parts in!!!

you say that like being a nerd is a bad thing.
Nerds (coughbillgatescough) will rule the world. I was just listening to the CBC, and they were talking to the tech guy about how we should really think of giving those techie guys the respect they deserve. They have a lot of power. Access to all of our personal information, for one. They can bring down the biggest companies, with a few keystrokes (well, i'm sure its more difficult than that, but it sounded good.) Point is, be nice...

also, be nice to your dentist, they have the highest suicide rate among professionals.

Man, who thought the list of hopes and dreams written by Bill Gates as a child would ever be found?

I'm really glad that the Finder titled this, "Things to accomplish in my Career," because I was wondering what the hell a Larvpl is.

I thought it was "create my own computer company.. or worm for Alien Ware".. like if they couldn't make their own company, they were going to systematically destroy all. other. companies. one by one. (or maybe assist Alienware in doing so.)

http://tinyurl.com/58fqwk
(alienware, according to Wiki.)

I wouldn't say this dude is "nerd". The proper term is GEEK. (and Geek is HOTT.)

Wow I wonder if my brother will grow up to accomplish this list of to do's ('?). Haha
Any ways...

I thought it said, "Things to accomplish in my Larry L", and I couldn't figure THAT out. With Larry, maybe, but not IN Larry. Oh, wait - that sounds more crude than I wanted.

wow. that's my list too! except instead of "huge" i'd put "energy efficient". huge houses are a bitch to heat during the winter up here.

no offence [sic] taken, holly. nerds are awesome.
i don't think this was a real nerd's list though. if it was, they'd have known alienware is ridiculous.

lars in all my forms in the nwc?
i think computer geeks have been replaced by anime lovers in the nerd hierarchy - at the low end. has anyone else witnessed this phenomenon? cherry is right; geeks are hot(t).

Just a theory.. anime is the art version and computers are the science version of geekdom. Oh, and there are the unbathed teenage boys who play those fantasy card games.. not sure if that's art or science or both.

Personally I love anime, especially the beautiful films like "Totoro" and "Spirited Away." Some of teen geeks who like anime are interesting, quirky and creative. Some of them bury their noses in manga paperbacks when they should be listening in class, though.

wrye in the aura of a geek
my son is a geek
he is going to SCAD for game design
he bought an alienware instead of a car
(they really are the best computers ever, even if they are the size of a small house)
my son wears glasses, has long hair and will grow up to look like dr.venture on venture brothers cartoon...
he will (hopefully) support me in my old age (or i'll live in his closet)
this could very, very well be his todo list.

"i keep mixing art and science and coming up with magic" joe strummer said that!

This list sounds exactly like something my cousin would have written years ago. In fact I believe he has actually accomplished #'s 4 and 5 on this list! He has his own software company (last I knew it had 2 employees, him and an assistant).

The website is: weightmania.com

On the site you can calculate your BMI,your target heart rate as well as your body fat %.

@ MONA- Sorry, hun. Did not mean to come across as a BIIOOTTCCHH!!
I do understand your your point, and I am nice.
I still wanna' meet you one day, tho', if that's alright with you?

@ HILARY- I think NERDS and GEEKS are very intricate and interesting people! They're so intelligent and I find that sexy in a man! Also, the organizational skills...whoa! The way they can budget their $$, mind you, this is only the one (nerd) that I encountered. However, I'm sure most are very sexual and have immense brain storage!!!!

Clover, I was at a magic competition and all I could think about (other than the novel-ness of the experience) was how fluffy and clean all the boys' hair was. Some geeks are smelly, but those magic card boys are meticulous. It looked like everything was freshly laundered too.

Geez, somebody should tell this budding engineer that all that type of work is being outsourced to India and China. He better change his goals.

I echo your sentiments! Somebody should also tell this kid that unless you found your own company, you are just a tech laborer. As valued and as replaceable as a light bulb.

Keep that resume up-to-date, because you can (and will) get laid off many times in your career.

I don't know ... seems kind of empty and pointless to me. Those computers are likely never to catch on anyway. Everybody will be back to the paper codex format before too long, you just wait and see. Especially when the petroleum runs out, and the electricity gets turned off. Don't come whining to me about not knowing how to sharpen a pencil then. Just remember I told you so.
+ July 26, 2008 07:57 PM +
fooch in front of the mirror, wondering if I am a geek
I thought is said 'create a worm' also, which made me smile.

I heard that these computer geeks love to come up with worms, viruses, etc and then when they are at parties, they get lots of attention ("Dude, you created that virus? Way cool.")

I read something funny somewhere not to overlook the geek b/c jocks only think about sports and geeks only think about sex.

I have a geek bf and he's working out perfectly. :) This list reminded me of him, but his handwriting is a tad neater. I agree w/ Cherry OPepsi in the "Larvpl" guess. I STILL can't see career in there, but I'll just take Pamela's word for it.

I for one, prefer nerdy cute over athletic cute

I'm 99.825% sure that's a quote from Revenge of the Nerds. (and someone quoted it here on Found recently, although I can't recall which Find.)

Yep. here you go:
