We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
i think this is gorgeous
i love it
Looks like the pictures I take all the time. Someone needs to take my cell phone away.
I love taking pictures while riding in cars. Nobody else will ever be able to tell where you were going or why you were going there, but you and the people you went with will always be able to tell just from one picture.
the tree look like a dog, or bear maybe, holding a bottle!
haha, I definitely see the bear.
I SEE THE BEAR TOOOOO!
The best part about this Find is the Title, I keep repeating it like I don't understand it but the Journey really is the Destination. Did Gulliver make it up or is it a known saying.
Whoa, nice call, J! I definitely see that bear!
You get subliminal animal bonus points!
It looks like the bear just finished eating... He's wiping his mouth with his right hand and looking at his left to see if there is anything he can lick from it... By the way...Great photo..
Why would anyone get rid of a photo like this, it must have been an accident...
@Ghost: "the journey is the destination" is a well known quote.. but it's been attributed to too many people (and too many people have claimed it as their own) for me to figure out who said it first in the scant time I have available at the moment.
"What is the difference between exploring and being lost?
The journey is the destination."
- Dan Eldon, as written in his posthumously published journal, titled The Journey Is the Destination. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Eldon)
MoMo, they might have gotten rid of it because they have 200 that look pretty much just like it! (and they must not have seen the Hamms Bear with his bottle of brew.)
Makes me sad.....
This reminds me of how when I'm on the road i always want to take every little side road to see where it leads. Also, that saying makes no sense to me at all. The Journey is what you experience on your way TO the Destination. They are separate, not the same at all. Getting to the Destination means the Journey is OVER. Does anyone agree with me? And why can't I see the bear?
I took three months off after college and just drove around the country.......taking a bunch of pictures of stuff like this, and they don't mean anything to anyone but me. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who took pictures like these.
