We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
They are a terillium-carbonic alloy, and I CAN fly.
(I keep my Buzz Lightyear in my nightstand.)
Pete,
Please get Bud Light. Yer from the dining room table.
Nowi
Nightingale...eww.
Oh, great, Nightingale, now I'm gonna have to move!!
LOL
That's not an exclamation point, dear finder, that's the leg of the 'g' combined with the period at the end of the letter.
Ya know, by the time this person went through all the trouble of writing this note, the task seems like it could've been easily done.
Some people like writing notes for every little thing I guess.
I've noticed that many finders say they found something "in the gutter." Don't they really mean "ditch"?
@a rose grows in cleveland, no, they probably do mean gutter. If they had meant ditch, they would have said ditch. In the cities it's usually road/gutter/curb/sidewalk/building while in less urban areas road/shoulder/ditch and ditch is optional.
For all the time it took mom to write this note, she could have just picked him up and put him where he belonged. Lazy mom.
looks to me like it's signed "NONI."
Not "NOW (upside down exclamation point.)"
Reminds me of Mickey Hart: noni ni ni ni no no no no
Vill in, if I've told Pete once I've told him a hundred times: pick up your own damn toys. If I have to "put Buzz away" again, he's going in the trashcan. Verbal communication's not so effective with Pete it would seem. The note, his written warning, is his last. (yeah, sure, Maybe lazy. But maybe just sick and tired)
It's signed Noni. I'm wondering if Noni is actually Grandma. Raising her daughters kids gets tiresome, but someone has to do it. Can't let the little buggers go into the "system", then they'd not have a Buzz Lightyear to leave lying around. Pete doesn't realize how good he's got it, someone to keep him, love him, and instead of flinging the silly toy into the trash when it's left on the table AGAIN, leaving a reproachful note (gotta give him one more chance, again). Whatta a woman.
Or, maybe Noni is simply the housekeeper, and she doesn't have permission to touch Buzz anymore, after the first one was misplaced, and Pete blamed the help.
I miss picking my kids toys up, once they go off to college, it gets very... uncluttered.. around here. <sigh>
I don't see an exclamation point.
Pete,
Please remove the Buzz Light beer from the dining room table and replace it with some Guinness! Have some class for God's sake, you W.T.
Nowi
One time, one of my kids had a loose tooth and refused to let us yank it. So, we tied a string around her tooth and the other end around Buzz Light Year and let him 'fly.' It was an event we all remember.
It's hard to get a buzz from light beer.
But what a supportive Noni, eh? Wants Pete to go get his own buzz on. (Just not at the dining room table.)
Nightingale -- are you sure it's Buzz in your nightstand? I thought it was Woody...?
I don't see no stinkin exclamation point.
Sound like Noni means business, Pete. Better get Buzz off the table or he will end up in the gutter!
@ Sammy Davis -
Owwwww! But it probably worked better than a Major Matt Mason.
I'm glad Pete got a note. My Noni would have thrown Buzz in the trash without a whisper. I would have spent hours looking for him. This note saved a lot of anxiety.
Don't you people understand???!!! Buzz is in trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pete is the only one who can save him!!!!!!!!!
To Dining Room Table and Beyond Pete!!
I don't know why but I pictured someone standing outside on the sidewalk looking inside the house at the Buzz Lightyear on the dining room table and leaving a note in the door about it. LOL
Dear Mom,
When can I come home? Noni's "Old-Timer's" disease is getting really bad... She's leaving me weird notes. First she keeps asking me to "Please get the Buzz Light." What is that? Then she says "Your from the dining room table." What does that mean???
I'm scared -
Pete
This makes so much more sense as Nowi.
Maybe Nowi is paralyzed and Pete is the only one that can get Buzz for her. Ya think??
My mom used to write me notes like this. It was really annoying.
"Nonni" is Italian for grandmother... so maybe "Noni" is some variation? Either way, couldn't she just have told him or something? A note seems unnecessary. I like her handwriting though.
