We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
That striped-donkey photo-op is very familiar to me. I grew up in San Diego which is right next door to "TJ". I saw this set up when I visited Tijuana one of those times. Silly caucasians.
Somewhere hidden in a box of memories, is a picture like this with my aunt, cousins, and me. I forgot about it until now.
Did they buy any chicklets!?

I thought this pix looked familiar, I saw one like at the link below from 1952. It too has a striped creature (donkey?) I hope it not the same one, that would be too sad!
