Yours in Horror
FOUND by Deborah Grant in Dublin, Ireland
I found this in the sleeve of a second-hand Randy Newman record I bought at a market in Dublin.
Tiffany in Austin, TX
This is probably my favorite find ever.

I laugh everytime I read "with extreme prejudice..." Reminds me of a scene from Apocolypse Now.

Sorry to be a bore, but I have lots of questions: Is it "Yours in Horror" or "Yours in Terror?" Also, what is the word before "soul?" Did I miss something, or does Niall never say when Paschal should wake him?

this one made me smile, mostly because of how and where it was found, it seems too appropriate for some reason

'PASCHAL
For the good of my
eternal soul and to enable me to meet
several pressing commitments please wake me
(with exteme prejudice if necessary i.e. removal of
blankets, application of water. Ignore my screams of outrage.
Yours in terror
Niall'

Maybe Niall has an alarm Paschal can hear.

Where else but in Ireland...? I love this -- poetry and high drama in everything. Sounds almost like lines from The Ginger Man, or perhaps The Third Policeman (and if you don't know those books, go and read them, bejasus!)

That looks EXACTLY like my mum's handwriting..how odd.

This is the coolest note ever. Classic dry British-style wit...but from Ireland.

What a wonderful find.

Hey FOUND, why can't we favorite Finds*? I want to stash this one away.

*(I guess that would be hard to do without having accounts, huh? I'll just bookmark it)

Maybe he was hoping that Blaise Paschal would give him some help beyond the grave, what with the "eternal soul" business.

If Blaise Paschal (if that's how you spell it, which I seriously doubt) is hanging around in the after life, he's waaaay too busy gambling. Yay philosophical gambling mathematicians :)

Roommate humour! Love it! Paschal obviously knows Niall's schedule and what time he SHOULD be getting up...and probably hears all the horror stories about missed tutorials, threats from professors, and all-night cram sessions planned to take up the slack and then ignored.

BTW "Paschal" is the word used for the Easter season (Paschaltide). As in the Paschal lamb. Poor old Blaise Pascal probably wouldn't have been much good at waking Niall as he was too heavenly-minded to be of any earthly use, what with the numbers and all.

I love how fantastically random this is!

I assumed that the "yours, in horror" is in reference to the creative way in which Paschal is going to wake poor Niall up... "Removal of blankets, application of water.." genius!

I used to have to leave notes like this all over the place if I had to be up for anything important. Job Interviews etc. Aah, happy days.

I love the way it is worded. Beautiful.
