We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I smell a burning issue...looks like the ultimate break-up response.
I thought the standard phrase to your soldier going off to war was "keep your head low", not "up." Maybe she wanted to be a fallen hero's girlfriend. Maybe she was hoping he wouldn't come back so he wouldn't find out she and his best friend had been having it away in secret for months before he even left.
Maybe that explains the burned face in the photo...he did.
the message and condition of the image may not go together, but they are ironic!
and quite frankly irony makes for a much better find then does symmetry.
maybe it was part of a shrine to the person in the pic (along with all the other photos she took in front of various cars) and he/she put it too close to a candle or some incense. i think this would have to be one of my fave finds to date. i love her half jazz hands too. it's a bit 'tadahhh!' or something.
First off, the "love" part was directed at the car.
And then the "head" part was directed at the girl whose hair had caught on fire just st the moment the picture was taken.
Not sure who is the object of the "up [heart]" part, though.
OhmyGod, it looks like a skull is coming out of her skull.
What happened? I'll tell what happened. She put her freakin' fingerprints all over my TRUCK, mannn!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NIGHTINGALE!!
Keep yer head up - so I kin blow it clean off
OK - up.
Now a little to the left.
Back up one step.
All right - let's see if this death ray thing actually works.
keep your head up and away from those freakin' bees!
How about just plain "keep your head"?
This is scary. I like her hands though.
Happy Birthday Nightingale! Don't get too close to those candles! :)
Definitely a comet.....
What about the skull/ghost leaving the top of her head??
Does he/she loves that girl?
Realy?!
I have to say this, because it's true...creeepy.
This was a treasured photo he kept of her on his bulletin board at work (note the push-pin mark on the upper left-hand corner.) It reminded him that even though his boss is a true "a"hole, and was constantly taking credit for his work, that the board would eventually figure out that his boss is a putz, and he is the true brains behind the operation. (As evidenced by the fabulous car she is posing in front of, a smart purchase he was able to make for 1/2 the price on EBay.)
Little did he know, until he came home for lunch as a suprise one windy afternoon, that she was hittin' it with the boss, and feeding him all of his work ideas.
That night he got plastered had a ritualistic burning of all of her photos in his backyard trash can. This one happened to fall the the wayside, where the wind picked it up and drew it onto the sidewalk outside of his house.
Arrrggghhh...watch out for the Blackhole!!!
This looks like something from the movie, The Ring.
love hurts... reminds me of something a psycho ex would do. just move on, this makes me sad...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR LOVELY NIGHTINGALE!!
Yeah, sometimes when people take polaroid pictures of me my face starts to chemically burn off too in the photo. It's okay. You're not alone.
Keep your head up, even when those alien ships are landing and attacking everyone with burning laser spears.
Dang, she should sue her aesthetician for a botched chemical peel. Ouchie wowwow.
Thank you, Crisis. xo
Maybe the ice truck killer took the picture to enrage Dexter.
Before that episode I never knew how a polaroid would burn.
That show is great.
I've decided it was one of those scenarios where the polaroid was on the ground and some smoker threw their cigarette butt on the ground. It made it's way over to the polaroid burning it while it fizzled out.
@ jon- You could be correct..look at that white streak above the burn...
