Burnt Palms

in Los Angeles, California
I found this near the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vermont while wandering around after the LA riots. The building on the corner had been burnt to the ground, the national guard was defending the Sears nearby, and the rest of the world knew a little more about Los Angeles.

I used to live in Cali. It's a shame that some of those places still has not been able to recover. The riots broke my heart.

I lived in San Diego at the time, there was a real concern that riots would break out there as well. Terrific find.
