anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...

(I think that nowdays it's supposed to be BCE, not BC.)
"Go against the flow"
in some way.
Hmm. in what way do YOU go against the flow? Which flow? there are so many these days that if you're going against ONE, you're flowing with three others, innit?
I never stopped to think that the "Jesus fish" is a Salmon, swimming upstream. <><
LOL.. going with the flow... heh heh.. fits right in with your comment on the other Find of the Day, doesn't it? (erm.. sorry.)
You can have a mission, or indeed a "mission statement" (which is what this is) without being a Mormon. Christianity was around for a looong time without them, you know.
Looks like the sort of card you get as part of an icebreaker activity at a Christian youth meeting where a lot of people don't know each other yet.
your mission, should you choose to accept it.. go against the flow.. in some way.. and
Spawn till you DIE!
Man, that friggin flow. It's totally trying to bring me down.
Fight the Power! Rage Against the Machine!
Go Against the Flow!
Dude, THIS found should have been written on a pantyliner!

Spam-tip for the math-challenged: 6 x 8 is 48. I think.
If you go against the flow too much as a Christian you might end up an Atheist. That'd teach 'em.
I wonder if this writer decided to join the flow and go with the current for once, so she threw the note on the ground. It's hard swimming against the current.
Might be a little hard going against the flow (or even understanding what that means) when you belong to one of the largest religions in the world. The Bible doesn't refer to Christians as "sheep" and a congregation as a "flock" for no reason.
If these postings are any indicator, just BEING a Christian is going against the flow.
Preach it, Feeling. I wonder what the next philsophical fashion will be after "blasé and worldly wise, been-there-done-that" becomes sooo last year. Maybe kindness will come back. I can dream.
Well as Marx said "Religion is the Opiate of the masses." It's also the symbolic suckling breast for masses. (I apologize in advance to those whom I have now offended.)
Kindness is not something that can only be practiced by those who are religious, it is a basic human instinct available to all.
In this case "the flow" is equivalent to 'the world and its ways; whatever the mass of humanity is doing at any particular time; the status quo.'
Christians in many denominations are called (given a mission) to be countercultural. They take the straight and narrow path, not the wide easy one.
Effie
No one said that non-Christians are not kind. I think all people applaud kindness from all sources.
However, there seemed to be a lot of Christan bashing going on and I think the instinct is to be somewhat defensive.
There is a broad spectrum of belief within the Christian world. We are not all ultra right wing types and I think sometimes people assume "Christian" means judgmental and backward
Oh great thanks to this find I'm seriously dying for an In 'n Out Burger and there's not one to be found for hundreds, maybe thousands of miles..! Looks like it's time to head west again!!!
@angel ... yup, according to the corporate web site they are only located in California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah. And they've been doing their thing since 1948.
Hey...go against the flow at In n' Out and get a burger with no bun (they give it to you wrapped in lettuce).
@Feeling: Given the current political race for president, it is somewhat difficult for us to escape those 'in your face' ultra right wingers...too bad for you and the others who are an exception.
Being at a place everyone goes to is going against the flow?
Who says *the straight and narrow path* isn't easy???
LOL!
Marxism is a huge opiate for the self-satisfied. "Don't worry, the state will take care of you. Just don't want anything more than anyone else has." Bleh.
At least religion (you know, the "do unto others..." kind) encourages good behavior and kindness.
"You can have a mission, or indeed a "mission statement" (which is what this is) without being a Mormon. Christianity was around for a looong time without them, you know."
I know. The In N Out is near a Mormon church which is why I thought Mormon.
