We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
$100 says he dont have either one today...
bet he left his wife for the car
My guess is she left him and took the car.
I LOVE this one, and the title is perfect! Everything about it is so sweet (their body language, etc), I feel 100% goopy about it!
i swear this looks just like my parents...my mom's wedding dress. holy crap. but they don't live anywhere near AZ. In any case the car is gone but she is still there, maybe the same for this couple.
The 2 treasures are the 70's sideburns, right?
This picture has appeared on "Post Secret"
D, how was it used in Postsecret? Do you remember what the secret was?
i guess i am just a sappy hopeless romantic. he still has her and the car and they take it when they go out on dates every friday...
I like the way he casually has one foot one the car, like he doesn't care if he scratches the paint.
I never saw it on Postsecret but I'd like to know what it was on there for.
I think they're still together.
OH, sweet lord that is a HOT car. *drools*.
on post secret it said something like I loved that car more than anything, when i met her it stopped mattering the car was sold but she stayed,my dad was right.......odd that the double of this was found
lol, more likely they printed it from here and mailed it to post secret. this find is dated 2003 after all. MYSTERIOUS!!!
My guess is that she only married him for the car and she's hoping to get it in the divorce- typical woman:)
I love this picture.
No car, but she's still there. Look at her face--it really looks like the happiest day of her life.
i dont think the marraige had anything to do with the car - who says its either of theres they look lovely together and the body language is leaning into each other.
xxx
youre right. their body language is beautiful. absolutely perfect. mmm :)
I'm an optimist so I am disagreeing with all the pessimistic comments. My parents are divorced so there is still some doubt. However, I choose to believe that this is adorable, they look so happy, and what a lovely day it seems!
I had that exact car when I was 19! No I'm not the guy in the picture.
As soon as I saw the picture I started singing What's New Pussycat... the groom is SO Tom Jones!
This is a picture of my grandparents. They now live in Green Valley, AZ.
Orv and Clara...
He still has the car...
Jen in Washington - you should add this to the "Hey! That's me" section of found.
I would've married him too- that car is beyond awesome!
I hope he isn't like my ex. He always put the damn car before me. Sometimes you just have to realize that people are more important.
Where is the "Hey That's Me" section??
Jen in Seattle - your 'grandparents' - how old are you? How old were they when they married? When did they marry?
PS Anyone know what make of car it is?
Don't know a lot about American cars but this can't be any earlier than about 1970, surely?
Still feasible for Jen to be their grandchild! Hope that's true -- they look so sweet and happy.
CH -- you get to the 'Hey That's Me' section by clicking on 'News of the Found' (above left of here, orange 'post-it' thing) and a list comes up on the right hand side of the screen which includes 'Hey That's Me' you can click on. No one else can find it either, though -- no one's added to it since Jan 2006! Shame.
I have pictures of me in 1977 that look exactly like this, the same hair, sideburns (and a mustache), the same tux and vest, the large bowtie and that exact black and white ruffle-front tuxedo shirt. The only reasons I don't think it's me are 1.) I don't remember hitting on any newlywed brides that year; and 2.) I'm pretty sure I had two legs.
It's a z28, 1972 Lt Motor, v-8. My hubby had one, when he was 19, still have him...but no car! Not that one anyway! I love this pic, too!
Thanks Holly! I think it's actually a 1973 Camaro Sports Coupe --
see http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/1973/73b-3.html -- pic from that year's catalogue. Note the front bumpers, introduced that year to comply with federal legislation. The 1972 Z28 didn’t have them.
But I'm not convinced the chin spoiler and wide tyres aren't a later modification?
I still hope this is Jen's grandparents though! Jen, have you shown them this Find??
If that car has a passenger side view mirror, he's gonna break it right off! This pic is sweet. she looks so happy and in love...
Good one, Captain! I think he's resting his left hand on the rear view mirror and she's smiling at it. "Look, honey! It's closer than it appears!"
Denise, did you used to work at Zia? I think I know you.
I just love this pic. The way he's leaned over whispering in her ear. It reminds me of me of the way my husband still whispers to me and the way I still get all gushy over it the same way that she looks in that pic. We also posed in front of a camaro for our wedding pics. Too bad it [the car] wasn't ours though.
I forgot to mention that this is my first time to the found website - I love it! I canme here via postsecret. I can't help but think of all the interesting things that I've found and would have loved to share with someone.
Hi Keys, welcome aboard! Please keep posting comments, and why not send in your Finds? Would be great to share them.
PS -- lucky you.
Lucky husband.
*sigh*
Thanks, Jonathan!! I figured it was something close!
Nice ride! Now it's only half his.

Did you see this pic in the "HEY! That's Me!" blog? Jen claimed the lovely couple as her GrandParents, Orv and Clara. What say you? Check it out.
