We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
Probably not...usually the "all good" diminishes until it's just often enough for a true optomist to keep hope. Then you wake up one day and realize it's "all bad" most of the time. I think our best hope is that the writer got out before she wasted too much of her time.
I know this wasn't to me but I have heard the same sentiment time and time again and I would just like to say something. I am trying and every day it is better and better, I don't mean to hurt you and I hope you will stick it out and see how good it can be. I laughed a bit to myself when I read this and then realized it isn't funny, because I know I have hurt her, I promise to make a much better effort to change for the better. And I hope that the person this note was intended for did/does the same.
Oh, Maaaan, have I been there. Sounds like he's on a big ol' crack binge. How many times did I use that "imagine if the roles were reversed!" bullshit. It doesn't have any effect whatsoever. I echo Elizabeth's hope that she got out before too much of her life was sucked away into a black vortex.
And Javier: don't wait for "someday" to begin those changes for the better. Start now, and don't look back. Must move forward. Always. Good luck to you, and her if she stuck it out, or the next girl if she didn't.
Some of the misspellings in this note threw me for a loop at first. I thought since was "science," but it really just didn't fit. "I left Clae because of this same druma." I thought it said Daruma. And anyone who's read Tom Robbins' Skinny Legs and All knows how funny THAT sounds. (anyone who hasn't SHOULD. Immediately.)
It's kind of intersting that the last line is in the blue section, and almost just.. blends in and isn't there at all.
