My Big Head

My mail carrier left this note on the back of an envelope in my mailbox. I haven't been able to locate his head anywhere in the neighborhood.

We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...

What a nice, honest mailman! Im sure most would've ran!
i think this is such a sweet letter. the poor guy. his big head has probably caused him problems his whole life. poor ed
I've come across this find several times on this site. It makes me laugh out loud every time I read it!

He's lying. I saw him smash the light with the package. He was in a drunken rage, again.
this is my absolute favorite find ever. what an honest, people-loving man, with a sense of humor too. i wish i knew Ed the Mailman.
Maybe someone else did it and is trying to pin it on the innocent mailman.

I like how he just randomly tells you his name in the middle of the note and signs it mailman, instead of the other way around.

He only told part of the story! Obviously, he was trying to drop off his head, but when he broke the light fixture he was so flustered he only left the "H;" since then he's been carrying around the resulting appellation, "Ed," in secret shame.
Cute note, although I won't lie, I started laughing when I read it, because it reminded me of Rocco's Modern Life.
...the neighbor's name is Ed Bighead. Sorry, I'm finished now. :)
