We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone

Some sort of brilliance
Ahh, too short for the photo booth. That can't be good for your self-esteem.
reminds me of Amelie. :)
I love how it looks like he is slowly shrinking.
Haha. Awesome, I love photo booths.
The seats usually rotate to become higher or lower. But I love this the way it is. I've found a couple of left behind photo booth pictures. I have one of a couple - the guy has a straw cowboy hat and they're kissing in two of the shots.
i love this, i can't even put my finger on why, its just so wonderful
i love it.
Those photos look pretty old
My ex-boyfriends sister LOVED photobooths and used to get really creative with them... including decorating the backgrounds. The older she got the more creative she became with her little photoshoots... including Burlesque shots. Even though her brother and I broke up... I have a new appreciation for all photobooth shots. I think she would like this one.
It reminds me of Amelie, the French movie.
What an incredibly inspiring movie.
I think I may just go watch it today.
awesome. makes me think of woody from toystory.
I simply love it.
I think he's a spy! He desperately wants to give away his secret identity, but he can't because he'll lose his job (duh), so he compromised by taking pictures of himself that ALMOST give away his true identity.
He, who was a cowboy before he was a spy, has been disguised as a woman for so long that he finally had to break out of it. Now, in order to find him, we must examine the eyes and eyebrows of all the women in Atlanta, Georgia, particularly those who shop at K-Mart.
And you don't get your money back if you don't adjust that stool .
Its so artsy. I enjoy it.
Does this wide-brimmed hat make me look short?
It's not that he's too short, the original plan was to sell the hat on EBAY. The shots came out great as far as positioning goes, but they realized the quality wasn't good enough so they droped the pictures and headed to Walmart to pick up a digital camera.
do you think he's a little kid, or just a short dude? i want him to be a little kid, who really wanted to do this but his mom wouldn't give him the quarters so he took 'em and did it anyway.
cowboy rebel child. my favorite.
I love it! This has got to be one of the funnier finds I've seen yet.
That's funny because I just saw Amelie for the frist time yesterday.
That's totally Hervé Villechaize. He just happened to be having one of his rare good eyebrow days.
PLEASE tell me this is the same erin nelson that i grew up with in atlanta. if so, i miss you and congrats on the new baby.
Pardner-you need a step up.
I love this. It does look like a photobooth photo of Woody From Toy Story.
That's so freaking adorable!
isn't there another found like this with just the chin of the fat guy? what if this is the rest of him that we couldn't see in that picture? i can see it...
Hey cowpoke! you need some good ol' high-heeled cowbow boots to go with that hat!
im in love.
......or maybe this is a commercial for Blue Cowboy (TM) brand curtains, which are pitched by the Stumpy Cowboy. In these commercials Stumpy shows only half his face, while the voice-over says, "Blue Cowboy Curtains... this week, all curtains are half-off. We are a nose above the competition! Hats off to Blue Cowboy... the only curtain to use on the trail."
Eee this totally reminded me of Amelie too, I think I might have to buy it soon, its such a beautiful film.
oh my gosh, other people have seen Amelie too. this photo reminded me so much of that movie! so then, which do you think came first?
ah, K-mart: 'Where dreams are made'
I also thought of Amelie when I fisrt spotted this Find. I like how it looks like the guy (or girl!) is slowly sinking down. hmm....
Dwarf Cowboys indoctrinate us with mass photo distribution.
great find.
I keep imagining that the photo caught him in mid-jump each time: "Now if I could just jump a little high.." SNAP! "Awwwww."
Since I have never seen Amelie, my first thought was of that cute little Amish tattle-tale from "Witness" and what the hell is he doing around that evil machine?
Great find, if you look on the top of many of these photo booths you will find the rejects people have tossed up there. Most are boring but some are really funny.
>>Those photos look pretty old
That's the joy of photo booths; they always do
....one of my favorites
I loved this the second I saw it.
And I know what you're talking about, sons! Except it reminds me of the boy from toy story, not Woody.
This reminds me of a movie called Nina? I think.
AMELIE!!
I recognize this picture! It's on the front page of www.ghostdaughter.com, which is Erin Nelson's website for her art. Her stuff is really good, and pretty much everyone here would probably like it.
Lindsey, I hope you don't still feel abandoned and lonely!!!
Here are the chins to go with the hat.. http://foundmagazine.com/find/205
anna, how the hell are you supposed to navigate that girl's website? Stupidest website I've ever not seen.
I notice that the artist you mention and the Finder seem to be one and the same. Does she use found photos in her art, or does she take photos? (I'd probably be able to figure it out if that website was user friendly.)
I like the chins to go with this picture.
Ben Jammin- the site went on a bit of a crazy hiatus where I couldn't figure it out either, but now you just click the links and then the asteriks (make sure pop-ups aren't blocked). But this photo isn't on her front page anymore. And she takes photos, though I suppose some of the ones in her art might be found.
Cowboy eyes. Oh, I bet you wish you could cut me down with those Cowboy eyes. What a shot you would be if you could shoot at me with the Cowboy eyes....
But he's grinning widely, expectantly, eagerly -- you can tell (just) by his eyebrows. Hope springs eternal, eh?
Performance Art.
it amuses me that this kid (or short adult) took 4 of the exact same picture. He didn't move or anything.
I bet it was Arlo Guthrie http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.a
