Cute Boy
FOUND by Belina S. in Unknown
This was folded, on the floor, beside a recycling bin in a classroom. I miss passing notes.
Newt, the orange one
Better not be connecting shoulders now, you hear?

The Devil is in the detail
Real cute: Bart Simpson hair; goat eyes; greater-than nose; missing dentures. And it's been alsmost two weeks since he looked like that!

If only I could change my looks...

You can't miss him. He's deranged, has one tooth, and his head is on fire.

Unknown? Come on, Belina, we all know you go to high school in San Anselmo.
+ March 16, 2009 01:20 AM +
still up in the middle of the night
And he rides the short bus.

Belina, you should start passing notes at any given opportunity. Subject and recipient irrelevant.

I love the little tiny tongue visible in the mouth. He IS a cute boy.

I am a teacher, and now use students to do my note passing. Luckily, my best friend works at my school too, so it works out great! It's pretty much awesome. :c)

want in g more from life
it's quite refreshing to see a note that's spelt and punctuated correctly, just goes to show that some people DO learn from school, even when they're passing notes.

JustJoan in quiring what I'm missing not being in San Anselmo...Well?
He's dreeeeeamy... *sigh*

btw, I'm sure she means it's been two weeks since they started meeting for coffee or texting or webcamming or whatever it is that passes for dating these days.

Boy, did I just sound like an old fart!

I'm hoping that the guy being described by the drawing is new character in the daily cartoon she draws.

That's because if he's a real person, well, ick! His eyes are too closely set, and he's got a pencil neck.

Almost two weeks since he started looking like a cartoon character of course. They're thinking of trying to get him a gig on the Simpsons.

@ Fooch ... I was just wondering the same thing. Two weeks since:

she saw him looking at her in the hallway;

they held hands when the classroom lights were out during the social studies video;

they were assigned to each other as lab partners in science class;

or something else quite as innocuous to us jaded Foundians, but as life-altering to the 5th or 6th grade kids writing the notes.

(Still, I'd like to see his drawing of her.)

Hiplainsdrifter in Vulcan Blue Balls, Maine
From Wiki

Kirk confronts Spock, who says he has no memory of having changed the order. Kirk orders him to report to sickbay for a full examination. Once there, Dr. McCoy discovers Spock's blood chemistry is extremely active and has the presence of unknown hormones. If the condition persists, Spock will die in eight days from the physical and psychological stress. Spock does not wish to discuss what is currently affecting him, but Kirk demands an explanation.

Seemingly embarrassed, Spock informs that his condition is called Pon farr, a very personal biological syndrome that all Vulcan males painfully endure periodically throughout their adult life. During this time, they must join with their wives, or die. Spock compares his need to return to Vulcan to the need for eel birds of Regulus to return every eleven years to the caverns where they hatched, and also to salmon of Earth who must return to the stream where they were born to spawn. Kirk gets the idea that it is essentially Spock's mating season

Muse on the Loose
Almost two weeks ago, Selena was helping Brady with his math homework and their hands touched. At that moment she realized he was Mr. Right. She wouldn't stop talking about him, but her friend Sarah had never met him and wanted to know what he looked like. Now, Selena had never aspired to be an artist, but she did her best to draw him. Walking by, the art teacher (who knew Brady) said, "That's Brady! You have such talent!" and immediately recruited her to the art program. The note was forgotten and strew on the floor.

@ Hiplainsdrifter:
achem...A very well-researched piece of, wellll, presumably tangential background fluff ('though a tangent from what is anyone's guess) Now, for the tough love. I hear Maine is a lovely state. Go get some fresh air, visit the puffins, see the site of the Angel Gabriel wreck (and take pics for me) or just raid some lobster traps, baby. And don't forget the sunscreen and ray bans. Sounds like you'll be needing 'em.

@ Muse: I can respect a person with attention to proofreading. :)

Mom, Interrupted, he does have ONE ear visible.. the other one's just obscured by that crazy hair.

I like how the Submitter opted to title this Find "cute boy" even though it doesn't say that anywhere in the note. It's a cute drawing. I like the subtle tilt of his head to the right, and the word He to the left.

passing notes........ i thought it was a lost art. in so many ways it is..... i can lay hands still on thoughts and words penned in passing naerly 30 or more [in some cases] years ago...... what do todays kids have to look forward to long after High school? texting may be more efficient, but it has nothing on the hard copy! 8-)

I miss passing notes in my old high school. The reason I kept them is so they wouldn't end up on sites like this or somewhere worse! :P
