We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
I wonder what his idea was. My first two thoughts are a cute surprise or else a solution to a problem.
Now I'm leaning towards a solution to a problem. I wonder what kind of problem and what solution he might have had?
Why didn't the guy just call her to tell her to call him? Writing a note seems a little round-about.
"Watson, come here! I need you!"
I have an idea too? Call me.....
Mmmmmm....Wonder what that 'idea' was?
Text me, I have a suggestion.
Write me, I have an answer.
Email me, I have a thought.
Very fun find - started my day nicely.
Thanks Jeremy!
Hi Found,
Call me I have a comment
Personman
hey i wanna know the secret!! is it to where the secret stash of pot and/or illegal mp3's are held?
i bet they're gonna put on a show
"....and bring some money. We're going to need alot a coke."
I bet he was thinking of suggesting a menage a trois. I wonder if Judy would be down for that.
I have a feeling Judy got her socks knocked right off by this idea of Robert's.
flargy, your suggestion reminds me of this bizzare wallace shawn play.
Why Judy needs to call Robert is beyond me. His idea is plain to the naked eye: down with punctuation! It is merely a tool of the Man. Stop the use of commas and periods and other grammatical shackles that bind. Set yourself free, Judy!
i like the idea of robert deliberately leaving the note on the sidewalk behind the park, to be found by judy on the off chance that she walks by. i think it goes well with the cryptic character of the note itself.
What, no one found this creepy?
I hope she knows his number!
I tried inserting my own punctuation to come up with different meanings.
The obvious one is:
Hi Judy,
Call me. I have an idea!
Robert
(the meaning of which everyone has been speculating)
But what about:
Hi Judy,
Call me I. Have an idea?
Robert
(short for Ishmael, which makes sense, given that this was found on a pier, perhaps near a whaling ship? And he's looking for ideas not giving them out.)
Or:
Hi Judy Call,
Me? I have an idea: Robert!
(meaning the unknown author has come up with Robert as the solution that Judy Call has been looking for. The Me? is like when you get called on in school and you've been daydreaming. Coming up with Robert as the idea was a nice save. Do you think Judy Call will agree?)
Ok, so neither of these make sense--I told you I was procrastinating.
I don't think it was left there for her to find...I think it was just dropped there. I've passed notes like this before...I just didn't have time to write the whole thing down on paper, plus it's better to hear something from someone, not reading it.
If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Judy
And Judy when you call me
You can call me I
Erma, you just about made my day. I do have one question though...is a Judy call anything like a booty call?
Most guys do have an idea & it usually has something to do with sex.
am i the only one who read this:
Hi Judy. Call me "I have an Idea". Robert. ?As in Robert now wishes to be known as I have an Idea. Maybe this goes back for me to when you would say to your mother "I'm hungry" and she would respond "Well hello there, Hungry. How do you do?" :P
it's great that robert realizes that "Idea" should always be capitalized. awesome.
also awesome: erma's Ideas. and kelsey for pointing out that sometimes the physical act of telling, of revealing something, is significant in itself. kinda along the lines of the medium is the message, right?
Robert, nobody gives a rats ass what your ideas are. Keep them to yourself. Your last idea got me in a whole shit load of trouble and you want me to consider your idea? Sorry Bud!
All of a sudden, Judy's got new ideas for the act. I didn't suspect a thing.
Where's Saramouche?
Maybe Robert passed this note to Judy while Judy was with someone else. Maybe, just maybe, Robert couldn't talk to Judy because of the person Judy was with and perhaps, I need to get off the internet now. Yes, that's a splendid idea!
i have an uncle named robert who passes by the SBC area often
i wonder if it was him.
I don't think it was left there for her to find...I think it was just dropped there. I've passed notes like this before...I just didn't have time to write the whole thing down on paper, plus it's better to hear something from someone, not reading it.
did anyone else notice how "robert" has been traced?
JoFo - that was hilarious!!
Doo doot doot doot
I wonder if Robert is good looking...
I got one! One friendship with you!
Email me to Brazil!
Hugs.
what if robert's idea is for a vertical monorail to venus, but Judy assumes he's talking kinky?
Robert needs Judy's expertise in the locomotive arts and space travel, but she's busy buying lube. Looks like Robert's blueprints might get all sticky by the end of this story.
that's amazing. i hope they wanted to do something crazy, like play tag in a supermarket or go bungee jumping off of said pier.
yay for ideas?
hahaha, sounds like the esoteric-ass notes i write.
Perhaps it's a 'Weekend at Bernie's' situation and they have to figure out what to do with the body...
Perhaps a murder plot? An invitation to an affair? Both? (Or maybe I need to lay off TV for a while.)
