We collect FOUND stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework,
to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, telephone bills, doodles -
anything that gives a glimpse into someone
else's life. Anything goes...
me too :.(
Just by drawing this, they are too cool!!
My guess is that this little guy is the artist's dorky teacher who trys a little to hard to act cool. So that's him up there pointing to the classroom chalkboard saying "I wish i were cool"
It makes me think of a student drawing a teacher, who is standing at a blackboard...especially because of the tie, I think.
*points with Mack* I wish I were cool too, I like to think maybe we are, we just don't know it!
I think it's a drawing of his teacher. But it was found at a music store, not a school, so I could be wrong.
Judging by the way he's dressed up (tie, etc.) and pointing to a board, maybe "Mack" is some kid's teacher who tries too hard to be cool. I have some teachers like that.
If it is a student drawing of a teacher, the teacher obviously taught the students well, since the message on the board correctly uses the subjunctive in primary sequence. Well, done, Mack, our insecure educational friend.
Reminds me of postsecret.
Yoo Hoo! Jo, Eggs, Flargy, where are y'all? Still in Church?
this reminds me of the old situation in which the teacher confiscates and note being passed among students, then as punishment, reads it out loud to the class----only to discover it says something really embarrassing about him. that's always awkward.
I wish I were too.
I love this.
I think whoever drew this IS cool - and a good cartoonist as well.
I wish I could draw too.
As a teacher (a cool one, at that) I appreciate the correct use of the subjunctive!!! And, all the grammar police people here will have nothing to nitpick for once.
Hey, listening to the Beatles makes you cool by default.
Definitely a teacher. Look like Mr. Harper my econimics professor.
Students shouldn't be so judgenmental about their teachers.
You're goddamn right I'm still in church. Did you know they give out free crackers and grape juice on Sundays? You really can't pass up a deal like that.
If you look at the eyes on the guy in this drawing, he's clearly a loose cannon, a total wack job. I think the caption was originally supposed to read, "Is he loco? Erwiwi!" but the artist himself is deranged (and/or dyslexic), hence the jumbled and confusing finished product we see here today.
Being cool is just SOOOO over-rated. :op
mr. chelnick!
I just wanna say, "It will so never happen"
That is to the teacher and the artist.....Oh yeah, nothing but love;)
I think it's kinda funny that his grammar is correct.
Higgy, I thought the same thing!
I think maybe it was a snooty record store type making fun of people who buy beatles cd's because they think it makes them cool. Given the context of the find, it seems that a critique of taste in music is quite likely.
I think it's really funny that the first thing I noticed was the grammar.
That man IS cool, with his tie all cocked to the side. Man, I'm jealous.
i also wish i was cool as well too.
take THAT grammar police!!
ha!
i love how the founder named the "uncool" fellow after her ex boyfriend....
classic.
p.s.- when did people become so "emo".... Personally, I'd like to see the next 'Find of The Day' be bursting with happiness
Rex, I wish you would stop redundantly repeating yourself by saying the same thing more than once but in different words. It's getting redundant.
I don't like the Beatles. Does that make me uncool? Must I now go draw a caricature of myself visually lamenting my unworthyness?
Yes, Charmed, it does. Get on that caricature right now!
I've noticed a weird trend in my life. Whenever I meet a person who dislikes the Beatles, we end up not getting along in the end. So Charmed, this relationship will never work. You might as well start packing now.
You've broken my heart, Monika. Fine, I will pack up my caricatures and my posters that say "Crush the Beatles" and leave.
Did you think this would upset me? I think it finally makes me cool!
Who gets to define what cool is anyway? I don't think the 'cool' people are cool. I just think they're fake people who WISH they were as cool as me. And to Norma Jean: my economics teacher is cool too. Peace in.
I agree.
I wish he was cool too.
